I'm really struggling with my 1st round pick this year. I'm in a 10 team, non ppr, redraft and scored #1. Who would you take and why?

Thanks

Attention famous radio personalities that answer questions about fake football, I'm in need of assistence.

I have a keeper league in which I can keep one player w/o penalty or benefit (i.e. we just have a keeper selection round to open the draft, no round penalties, etc)

10 Team League

1/20 rushing and receiving, .5 PPR, 1/50 passing, 6pts all TDs

QB / 2RB / 3WR / TE

If it helps you, I pick 8th. I suspect the following players will be kept (you can keep the player "forever"):

Rodgers

Manning

Brady

Foster

Chris Johnson

AP

Charles

McCoy

Mendenhall (possibly Calvin)

These are my keeper options:

Peyton Hillis

Andre Johnson

Mike Vick

Frank Gore

Michael Turner

Please shed some light..er, clarity...on this dark, very dark, situation.

Thank so much, and keep grinding.

ROCK AND ROLL!

Quick question on the Broncos:

While Fox is a defensively minded coach who prefers a run-first offense, we all remember how productive the Jake Delhomme/Steve Smith connection was for a few years. What realistic parallels can we draw with an Orton/Lloyd connection in his regime in Denver?

Thanks Guys!

Hey guys, so glad to be knee deep in football again. Lockout? What Lockout?

I have to make cut downs in my dynasty league on Tuesday. I can keep one of the following WR on my active roster AND add one to my Practice Squad.

Dwayne Harris

Niles Paul

Terrance Toliver

Cameron Kenney

Toliver and Kenney were added as late round flyers from the draft. But, camp info on either of them has been non existent. I know the lockout hurt these 2 UDFA WR's.

What are your thoughts on one of these players having any meaningful time this year. And who to stash for next season.

Thanks

Gentlemen:

Any strategy advice you can give for picking on the turn (ie 10/11 picks). Its hard to see value and project what your leaguemates are going to do in the next 20 picks.

For example I know a guy like Ingram will be there at the 3/4 turn but so will guys like Hillis/Turner/Best/Blount. I could risk waiting to the 4/5 but would like to know what you would do.

As always - Thanks.

Hi guys, love the show!

In a PPR league, where Tight Ends get 1 point per reception and the rest of the skill players get 0.5, would you target a top 5 Tight End like Gates, Witten or Clark? or would you wait for some late round steals. If so, which of these do you like:

Lance Kendricks

Jared Cook

Aaron Hernandez

Tony Moeaki

Greg Olsen

Thanks!

Could you please touch on how you see Steven Jackson's burst and on field "presence". Do you think he still has the ability to be the man if the team performs better around him? Based on ability alone where would you place him amongst NFL RBs.

Thanks...

Would you guys touch on the RB situation in NE.

Thanks again as always and keep up the good work.

For the guys not following you 3 on twitter (at the least) you are doing yourself a disservice.

Hey guys love the shoooowwww! I'm preparing for my 20th annual FFB draft this Saturday (IDP since the beginning beaches!)12 team, non-PPR, dynasty with standard scoring. If, on my last pick, I wanted to take a flyer on one of these guys who would be your pick and could you rank them 1 to 4 please?D. I'd get Gates. When healthy he'll be the top player among TE and WR combined.

Gentlemen please breakdown your mid-to-late round(r6-12)wrs. My main weakness seems to be wr 20-40 going into some later flyers.

Thanks.

Bonus question should time permit.

Keeper 1

Talk me into keeping Arian Foster($300) or Ray Rice ($270). My current keeper Greg Jennings($130) is holding a ton of value. Am I crazy for throwing both Foster and Rice back into the auction pool? Should I keep 1?

12 teams non ppr $1000 budget 2rb 2wr 1flex

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP.

TAP! TAP! Look to the right. Cough and Hip Thrust!

fellas,

what's going on here in Indy? So they signed Collins, obviously that implies they don't think their current backups cut it. Now if Manning is in fact out for an extended period of time, how does that affect Wayne, Clark, Addai, Collie, Garcon? I would think you would downgrade them all. Can you guys discuss the impact here?

Thanks!

Good evening gentlemen,

I am in a 14 team, non ppr performance scoring league that lets you keep on player. With CJ2K holding out right now, and my draft will be here in two weeks (labor day weekend). Or should I start planning on someone else? I have these five options I can do, which is the best for something like this?

Keep on of the following players

1. Hillis

2. Roddy White

3. Matt Ryan

4. Or keep CJ2K

5. Or the even more bold move, no one?

Thanks Mr.B

C-C-C-YEAAAAH!

Hey guys,

In Footballguys.com I trust. I notice that Peyton Hillis has been creeping up your rankings in the Draft Dominator in our PPR formatted league. Please sell me on this guy and why I should be drafting him in front of a name like Frank Gore or even Maurice Jones-Drew.

From listening to the show every week all year long, I know you guys (Bloom especially) like Romo and Stafford as QB's to target given their ADP. Does this change in 2 QB leagues because of their past durability issues? Do durable guys like Eli Manning get a bump? Who are some risers and fallers in 2 QB leagues?

In my 2QB league I am on the 10/11 turn and I am going QB/QB just to get a leg up - history dicates by the 3/4 turn I'll be choosing from RB13 onwards (ie Blount, Matthews, Hillis, Ingram).

Hey guys. There are three late-3rd, early 4th round running backs that have tons of upside (Ahmad Bradshaw, Felix Jones, and Jahvid Best).

Which back would you recommend in PPR leagues?

Also, Peyton Hillis really isn't getting any respect this year. His current average draft position is in the late third. Is he worth a selection over these three?

Love the show.

Thanks,

Matt

Just by looking at his schedule outside of two games against Baltimore, Rashard Mendenhall has an extremely easy schedule. Do you think the fantasy football community is over-looking this? How much stock do you put into schedules when drafting? Does Mendenhall get a nice little 'bump' because of the schedule?

Hey guys! Great show, second time posting here. My league is a 12 team IDP dynasty league where you keep your full team year to year. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 2 LB, 2 DL, 2 DB, 1 K, and 10 Bench. I had the 2nd pick in this snake draft.

Passing: 1 pt every 25 yds, -3 pts every INT, 6 pts per TD

Rushing: 1 pt every 10 yds, 1 pt every 10 rushes, 6 pts per TD

Receiving: 1 pt per reception, 1 pt every 10 yards, 6 pts per TD

Misc: All TDs are 6 pts, lost fumble is -3 pts

Kicking: 5 pts for 50+, 4 pts for 40-49, 3 pts for 0-39, -3 for missing 0-39, -2 for missing 40-49, and -1 for 50+. Extra points are 1 or -1 for a make or miss respectively.

IDP: 5 pts per sack, 6 pts per TD, 5 pts every Blocked punt, FG, or PAT, 4 pts every INT, FF, FR, stuff, or safety, 1.5 pts per solo tackle, 0.5 pts per assist, 3 pts per pass defended.

My roster is as follows:

QB: Matthew Stafford, Sam Bradford

RB: Ray Rice, Steven Jackson, Mark Ingram, LaDainian Tomlinson, Rashad Jennings, Javon Ringer

WR: Vincent Jackson, Austin Collie, Steve Smith (CAR), Julio Jones, Andre Roberts

TE: Jason Witten, Brandon Pettigrew

K: Matt Bryant

LB: Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, David Hawthorne

DL: Jared Allen, Matt Shaughnessy, Carlos Dunlap

DB: Brent Grimes, Kerry Rhodes

So please, any comments are welcome. I'd love to know if there's anything wrong or any severe weakspots on this team for this year or long term. Any recommendations on trades or for the waiver wire? There were some mistakes I made in the draft, I panicked in the 3rd round as SJAX was there and I had planned on taking Miles Austin or Dez Bryant with that selection, but I felt I got decent value getting him there, especially since I knew I had Ingram with my next pick to take his spot down the line. I also had Romo and Rivers taken before my 2nd round pick, so I'd rather swing for the fences with Stafford and Bradford than go with Matt Ryan or Eli Manning or even Big Ben.

Can you guys discuss Best and Ingram's chances as finishing the year as top 10 breakout RBs. Who's a better chance to make their owner look smarter as a top 30 pick who becomes a top 10/15 pick next year? Any other RB's you'd put into the Possible Top 10 RB discussion. The way Sig pegged Ray Rice 2 yrs ago.

Wow a lot of WSIS type questions...

A few things on my mind

1) Brandon Gibson looking like a real possibility for the 2011 version of Lloyd? Thoughts?

2) Ingram compared to Mathews

SDC carries last few years 390,385,420 with 13,16,18 TDs

NOS carries last few years 370,430,350 with 19,19, 9 TDs

Coaches history

Norv - bellcow (of course we acknowledge the stated the plan for RBBC this year)

Payton - RBBC

Both have elite passing games and are high pedigree 1st round picks whose teams traded up to get them

Experience in NFL

Mathews 1yr+

Ingram 3weeks

Competition for carries

SDC - Tolbert, Todman?

NOS - Thomas, Sproles, Ivory

Given all this, in my mind they both seem destined for 200ish carries and some receptions. The only clear differnce in role is likely GL stuff but my question is this:

How can you be high enough on Ingram to take him in the 2nd and claim Mathews in the 4th isn't even a great idea?

Draft day for my 12 team keeper league is tomarrow. So a half a day at work listening to the Audible podcast is in my future. I have mocked and mocked my draft and now I think I'am starting to doubt my plan. I have Mendenhall in the 3rd, Bradshaw in the 6th and V-Jax in the 13th. The plan is to take Calvin or fitz in the 1st. Brady or Romo in the 2nd. Then Mendy in the 3rd. The Draft dominator would have me take Best or Ingram with my 4th. But I can't help but think about an elite TE or even taking my 3rd WR. What would the great sigmund bloom do? Thanx for the help.

Greeting Chaps

thanks so much for providing such a quality product that is both entertaining and educational.

Could you rank for me you top 10 rookie WRs at this current time for dynasty purposes. Where would you draft the likes of Greg little and D Moore with vet WRs.

Lastly who of these top ten guys has the most potential to stink it up on the field/with the team that other players will be asking for a courtesy flush ala the vegas toilet scene from austin powers

Keep it up

what ever it may be

Delone Carter question.

Hi Guys, please give us some insight on Delone Carter and the Indianapolis Colts running situation in general. Latest reports have Carter ascending to 2nd on the depth chart in Indy. With Peyton Manning ailing and Joseph Addai seemingly in decline, what are the chances that Carter gets meaningful carries this season and beyond?

What are his strengths, weaknesses, and chances of being meaningful in dynasty leagues.

Second the earlier questions on the impact on other Colts skill position players with the news on Manning. I'm seeing a lot of guys sliding down the board and I'm tempted to jump on them.

i'm in a really shallow, but expensive league. 8 team non ppr with set rosters 2 qb, 4 rb, 4 wr, 2 te, 2 k, 2 def. I have been thinking of doing an upside down drafting if i have the 7th or 8th pick. The rbs i'm targeting are mark ingrham, marshawn lynch, legarrett blount, and felix jones. I am nervous though that if i employ this strategey that all 4 running backs are in the same group and I won't be able to get atleast 3 of them unless i start drafting them earlier then their adp. Matt, how would you adjust your strategy when you have more then 1 person in a the same teir you really want?

got a trivia question for you guys, NAME THE LAST QB TO LEAD THE LEAGUE IN PASSING YARDS IN BACK TO BACK SEASONS?"ere

here's a link to the answer.

Can you guys discuss projections for Romo? In a 2-QB league, Is he a legit top 25-30 pick as the 6th QB off the board replacing Peyton Manning?

I don't know if its because camps started so late, but I'm having a hard time identifying under-the-radar sleepers this year. I usually look for 2nd or 3rd year guys who have underperformed to date, but have the right mix of talent and opportunity to burst on the scene. I've got Jared Cook and Eric Decker targeted, can you discuss some players having good camps that have a chance to become startable this year?

Just got into your show this year... really enjoy it. Keep up the good work!

Looking for some clarity here... :banned:

Keeper league question for you:

10 team non-ppr league, Auction draft with teams starting at $100, 2RB, 3WR, 1Flex

You can keep 2 players for what you drafted/waiver wired them at last year. I'm keeping Vick at $4, but I'm trying to decide between

-Holmes $1

-R. White $12

-R. Rice $30

I'm pretty sure I'm keeping Holmes. Good play?

Dynasty Rookie WR question...

Now that Julio Jones is gaining some momentum, which rookie WR is more desirable to you in a TD-heavy dynasty league?

Julio Jones

or

AJ Green?

Need some clarity here!
