Hi guys, what's up?

Standard (non-PPR) league: A.Bradshaw or M.Tolbert? I love Bradshaw's matchup but I get bad vibes from the Giants offense. Talk me into starting Tolbert over Bradshaw this week.

Love the show.

Truly Yours

Didn't get to see the Bronco Bengal game but I have to get your take on what happened with TE Gresham for Nati?

Were the Cats soo concerned about Von Miller that they kept him in to help chip/pass protect with Von or was their something else afoot?

I figure with Shipley out for the year that his numbers would/should increase but I have know what you saw of him in that game and why he was soo silent.

Thanks

Avoiding the suck updated...

Based on 2 weeks of evidence who are the teams that will struggle in 2010 and whose OFF player should largely be avoided while who are the teams that will bounce back from poor starts and provide plenty fantasy goodness..

I've been thinking about the "pre-emptive RB pick-ups" ever since your last waiver wire show. It seems like there are a LOT of possibilities out there. I'd like to hear a little more talk about what to look for in a good pre-emptive pickup.

[*]The talent of the player forcing playing time?

[*]How much the incumbent stinks?

[*]How injury-prone is the incumbent?

[*]The offensive system?

[*]How much playing time they may already be getting?

[*]Something else?

So many factors. Help me feel like this is more than just buying a lottery ticket and getting lucky.

(You don't have to speak about these players individually, but these are the kinds of pre-emptive RBs I'm thinking of)

Stevan Ridlay / Shane Vereen

Bilal Powell

Isaac Redman

Kendall Hunter

Delone Carter

Alex Green

Demarco Murray / Phillip Tanner

Bernard Scott

Montario Hardesty

Taiwan Jones

Jacquizz Rodgers

Roy Helu

Deji Karim

Da'Rel Scott

Just wanted to pop in and ask what kind of production owners may expect if/when Mark Clayton is activated off of the PUP after week 6. Do you think he's worth keeping active on a dynasty roster for production later in the year, or should dynasty folks IR him (which for us shelves him for the entire year) and enjoy the benefits of your pre-emptive pickup for next year on the cheap! :) (and I say this because the league I play in is an auction-style dynasty league with a salary cap)

Question for the IDP Brain Thrust!!!

Who has more upside from:

- DL: Will Smith (NO) or Derrick Morgan (TEN)?

- LB: Mason Foster (TB) or Navorro Bowman (SF)?

Thanks, hoping for my 1st win of the season...

Can you talk a little bit about the Jets RB situation - is it the O-line or mostly Shonne Greene? When would you predict Rex Ryan may give Bilal a shot - I have a short bench in my main league and don't want to burn a spot waiting on Powell till week 10.

1. Bloom: Congratulations on first place in the Week 2 FantasyPros projection accuracy contest! Please talk us through your process for coming up with the Second Opinion Projections. To me, understanding the process is more valuable than the final outcome.

2. Waldman: Would love your RSP-based take on Denarius Moore v. Eric Decker v. David Nelson.

Thanks!

I have both Romo and Stafford at QB and need some help at other positions. Just wondering who I should try to trade out of the 2? Also what tier of RB (PPR 0.5) would that QB be worth?

Thanks guys

Lil IDP/return yards league action fo' yo' a@$#%!, gentlemen....

1. AZ linebackers for this week: Just as smart to avoid the situation altogether, given how lousy the Seahawks are/guesswork over injuries with Washington? I assume the Cards get up pretty early in this one and the Hawks abandon the run, thereby limiting the tackle ops. Thoughts?

2. Who becomes the S to own in New England if Chung's thumb derails him? Whoever it is, would they be someone to roster over, say Sean Jones, Jarrad Page or Bryan Scott?

3. I can't believe I'm asking this, buuuut.....In a return yardage league has Ted Ginn basically demanded that he be rostered after his first couple weeks, particularly now that Edwards is hurt?

My appreciation will be like the white hot intensity of 1,000 suns for any input provided.

Guys!

** First Question **

If you would, could you drop your two cents on the following RBs and their situations:

Tim Hightower

Mike Tolbert

LeGarrette Blount

Mark Ingram

Ahmad Bradshaw

James Starks

Specifically - How these RBs compare to one another and your outlooks for them for the rest of the season!

** Second Question (If you have time!) **

Same thoughts as #1, different RBs:

Stevan Ridley

CJ Spiller

Delone Carter

Kendall Hunter

Danny Woodhead

Daniel Thomas

Bernard Scott

Thanks guys!

Just curious to know what you guys personally feel about the value of Cam Newton in both redraft and dynasty leagues. Would you trade him or keep him if you had a tier 1 QB in either format?

Thanks, looking forward to the show as always!

Love the podcast every week. I have a prescription for a double true dose of clarity!

What are you thoughts on motorboatin' Cam Newton in redraft and dynasty? Many expected a huge reality check against GB in week 2, but he was a fantasy force again with big numbers.

AND

With the Seattle offense looking like the bad news bears, what is the long-term outlook for Sidney Rice? He signed a long-term deal, so he will be there awhile. Can Andrew Luck even turn around the outlook for Rice in 2012 and beyond?

Thanks as always.

Quick IDP question. Is Aaron Curry a bust? He looked like a can't miss out of Wake. Where did it go wrong?

Cant wait to listen tonight fellas!

After 2 games, the Baltimore secondary has been burnt by Big Ben and Hass to the tune of 656 total pass yds, and 9.9 and 8.5 YPA respectively, as well as big games to Wallace and Britt. Despite that, Sims-Walker is pretty low in Bloom and Dodds rankings. How do you like his chances to have a big game, or the chances Danario or Gibson has one instead?

Thanks

Hey guys,

I took over an orphaned dyno this year and decided to go into complete rebuild mode. I'm stuck with a roster void of talent and shared Cecil's sadness when my #1 draft pick (Leshoure) went down.

Knowing I don't have a prayer of making the playoffs, I'm not interested in acquiring players that may help me win a 1-2 games this season, be worthless to my team in 1-2 years, and potentially adversely affect my draft status next year.

We have 24 man rosters in a ppr league and can start up to 4 WRs (which I do often because Felix is my only serviceable RB right now).

Who are some RBs I can look for on the wire that may end up paying off next season and beyond?

I've been holding Goodson hoping that he gets traded or something next year -- is it time to cut bait?

Which of these WRs should I consider expendable for waiver wire pickups?

Doug Baldwin

James Jones

Leonard Hankerson

Edmond Gates

Thanks guys, love the shows!

Was surprised that Zac Miller (Sea) was dropped in my dynasty so I picked him up. Not expecting anything this year but IMO talent > situation in dynasty.

What do you predict for him in the next couple of years?

Lee Evans- ride it out or is he always going to be too unreliable? I thought the Ravens & Flacco's big arm was the perfect situation.

Hey guys!

Quick question. For the rest of the year, Ahmad Bradshaw or NFL leading rusher Fred Jackson? PPR. Thanks!

Hey guys, would you trade Mendy for Best in a 1/2 PPR? 12-team redraft league. Best would be my #1 RB.

Love the show!

(Motorboat, motorboat, motorboat!)

(OK gang, you know the rules, no humping, no licking, no sniffing hineys.) :D

Hey first year subscriber to footballguys here. Love the podcasts and the great content everyday. Your hard work and attention to detail really shows and is truly appreciated!

I know you guys talk about how with RBs you can tell who is going to get it done in the NFL almost right away if given the opportunity.

My question is how long does it take to spot that talent at WR? Do guys like Decker an Moore consistently produce now that they have emerged? Or are we going to see a lot of inconsistency w/ these young talented WRs?

Hey guys, luv the show.

you talk about Gates. He missed practice again today. The story after the Pats game was he was shutdown by the NE Def. Com'on An Elite talent like Gates doesnt get shutdown like that. Something is up and SD doesnt want to tip their hand.

Is he a start this week or do you play it safe and bench him until you learn more. There is talk out there today that Gates will never be 100% for the rest of his career.

Would you look to trade Gates for a Davis or Keller or wait and see how things develop.

I think this is the 2nd/3rd year of injury, he is older and the injury may be weighing on him IMO

hey guys, see you in the chat room tonight!!

Quick question, hoping Jene might be around to provide some "clarity" on this one. I'm wondering about the Jacksonville defensive end situation.

We know Kampman is down and struggling to get back from his 2nd ACL, Matt Roth was brought in via free agency and he has been putting up the numbers to date with a few sacks. What is happening though with Austin Lane & Jeremy Mincey. They have barely registered in the box scores to date. Any ideas what the snap count is like for these two guys? Is it partly due to a lack of tackle/snap opportunities so far for Jacksonville? Would you both holding on to either Mincey/Lane?

Hey boyz - love the show and listen to it on my 90 minute Friday commute into work.

Sitting on Arian Foster, Best, SJax, and Blount in a 10 team, start 3 WR, non-ppr league. Missed out on Tate in the draft. Contemplating moving Foster because I've got this feeling that his hammy isn't going to be right any time soon and even when he returns Tate will be in the mix. I understand its a sell low situation but sometimes its about cutting your losses.

1) Am I over reacting and need to be dope slapped back to reality?

2) What do you see as fair trade value for Foster (RB straight up)? How about some examples of QBs, WRs that you'd ask for in return as part of two for two deal?

Love the show guys!

With news of a potential Benson suspension, do you see Bernard Scott as a worthy waiver-wire acquisition, and what do you think of Scott's dynasty potential?

Thanks guys!!

In a 10 team standard league, what do you guys think about dropping Mike Thomas for Moreno?

Hey guys. I have Big Ben, Freeman and Fitzpatrick. I traded Hernandez away and Gates is my TE. Should I trade Beg Ben for Hernandez back or get Dickson off waiver for backup?

Miller will improve as the SEA situation does. Certainly a hold.Evans problem is health. Once that ankle is 100%, we could see fireworks, but I understand if you cut him because something better comes along on the WW.

i would think Big Ben for Hern, but get dickson in the meantime.

noi just dealt Foster, McCluster and Carter to the Charles and Addai owner in our staff league for Forte.i would aim high to start since Foster still has great name value.

Hey Guys! REACT TO ME!!!

PPR flex... who to start between Felix Jones and Mark Ingram?

Thanks!
