The Audible LIVE! - NFL Draft Talk - 10pm ET (1 Viewer)

Great show as always gentlemen, with all the smoke screens up and out there for everyone. Which side of the ball will Cleveland go for with the 6th pick (take an offense player "green I hope" or a defensive player?) and can calton michtell become a quaitly WR?

PS Hillis is still alive for the madden cover...lol

Gentlemen.

Love the show as usual. Quick question. LeGarette Blount? One year wonder? Legit #2/borderline#1 going forward? Sell, sell, sell???

Thanks much guys.

Hey gents,

First of all, I'm fired up for the release of the RSP tomorrow. Matt, take a few weeks off and put your feet up. You deserve it.

My question for you guys this week is this:

There has been a lot of talk recently that Blaine Gabbert and Cam Newton have been thrust to the top of many mock drafts and draft boards in general because they are the best there is at the QB position this year. While this may be true, that doesn't mean either are worth top five picks. Everyone knows that QB is the premium position and rightfully so, but do you think Gabbert/Newton/Locker etc. are overvalued this year in what is, let's be honest, a QB class that lacks a true stud (erm, Andrew Luck).

Thanks and have a good night!

I'll try again.

NFL draft is coming up so, Sig, Cecil, Matt, give us your top-ten.

Here's my latest update March 31st

1. Carolina – QB Cam Newton

2. Denver – DT Marcell Dareus

3. Buffalo – LB Von Miller

4. Cincinnati – QB Blaine Gabbert

5. Arizona – CB Patrick Peterson

6. Cleveland – DE Da‘Quan Bowers

7. San Francisco – CB Prince Amukamara

8. Tennessee – DT Nick Fairley

9. Dallas – DE J.J. Watt

10. Washington – WR A.J. Green

The experts rankings are of all course different but the consensus of them would have the top 8 QBs in the draft as Newton, Gabbert, Ponder, Locker, Mallet, Kaepernick, Dalton and Stanzi.

After that the rankings vary widely. My question for you guys is: who would you rank as the ninth QB in this draft? Any decent sleepers out there? TIA

Love the show guys.

The more I read and watch tape, the two best quarterbacks of this draft seem to be ponder and stanzi in terms of making the transition to the nfl game. I don't see either as a future all-pro or anything, but the most solid of a shaky class of signal callers. what are your thoughts on these two guys emerging as the best of the bunch over the next 5 years?

Thanks, love the show!

Please help sort out the rookie WRs after Green/Jones. How do Torrey Smith, Titus Young, Leonard Hankerson, Vincent Brown & Greg Little compare to one another? Are there any standouts or are these guys lumped in close together?

Not a draft question, but how far do you downgrade Dez Bryant for his maturity problem. I had him in my top 10 with Austin and Harvin.....Does he drop to the Colston, Welker tier....to Knox, Holmes, Garcon? Or do you downgrade him at all?

Always enjoy your show, TIA, Madd.

Here's my top 10 from my first 'What if?' Mock Draft, set to release next week on the NYTimes 5th down blog...1. Carolina – QB Blaine Gabbert2. Denver – DE Da'Quan Bowers3. Buffalo – QB Cam Newton4. Cincinnati – WR A.J. Green5. Arizona – LB Von Miller6. Cleveland – DE Robert Quinn7. San Francisco – CB Patrick Peterson8. Tennessee – DT Marcell Dareus9. Dallas – OT - Tyron Smith10. Washington – QB Christian Pondermy first 'What if?' deals with 3 QBs going in the top ten of the first-round....Locker doesn't go to Washington because Shanny already had an athletic QB with accuracy problems (McNabb) and told me at the Combine that Locker played more like Jake Plummer than Jay Cutler.

Guys....you got cut off right at 11 pm while talking about Dez Bryant. Can you sum up where you all had Dez Bryant ranked for 2011 and for dynasty purposes? Where does he rank in respects to AJ Green and Julio Jones? Thanks!

when we go into OVERTIME you can hear the 'after party' on the full show (see above link). The streaming show cuts off at the top of the hour. Basically, Matt said 'don't drop Dez Bryant in your rankings'

Really great answers to my question. Some QB names I did not expect. (no love for Taylor Potts)My question was not fantasy related it was more related to the possible QB inflation (as Bloom mentioned) in this draft. Pat Kirwin's recent mock had 7 QBs going in the first 41 picks. Basically all 7 QBs gone by the time Vikings pick in the second. I am taking that as a strange scenario for the Vikings because Speilman has come out and said that he will not go QB at all cost and he still plans to go best player available. I think many Vikings fans will be disappointed if they don't get a name brand QB in this draft but I think it might be reality. Add in the fact that teams can't sign undrafted free agents - teams could be possibily spending more late picks on QBs like Yates, Froman, and Weber. Obviously, Weber will be on the Vikings radar. Really enjoyed the show.

thanks man. I actually was going to mention Potts, but like McElroy and Yates better. Unlike most Texas Tech quarterbacks, Potts has NFL skills and could develop into a quality backup and spot starter. I saw him at the NFLPA Game in San Antonio earlier this year and liked what I saw. He was better than other QBs there (Josh Portis, Nathan Enderle, Ryan Couburn) except Yates. He sees the field well, remains calm under pressure, and is a strong leader. He needs better velocity when throwing outside the numbers.
