The Audible - Waiver Wire Special (1 Viewer)

I'm sure you'll discuss it, but just wanted to ask about the Arizona backfield at this point and how you see it shaking out. Might any retain any value if/when Beanie comes back?

Jerome Simpson seems like a wait and see. But his back issue is a bit concerning, doesn't sound like we will hear anything about the extra tests before most leagues waivers run tomorrow morning. Other than Mendenhall are you willing to drop tonight him for anyone unless you really need someone for this week?

these are a great idea but seem rushed and poorly thought through. how can Randall Cobb be worth equivalent to Mendenhall and what would you be saving your other 60-70% on if Mendenhall is out there? Britt only 5-10, equal to TY Hilton and Vincent Brown when we know Britt's main problem is injuries?

I like the idea but it feels like there is little analysis just thought of a number and stuck it on these guys

I see Mendenhall as capped at RB2 numbers because steeler will limit him to 15-20 touches a game at most. Cobb has an even better chance of becoming GB's sproles out of the backfield, in addition to doing more with his downfield targets. Britt is 5-10 because if he was dropped in your league, he might not be highly thought of and can be stolen for cheap off the WW. His real value is more, but if he's really still out there, your league must be down on him.I understand if you disagree, but I can tell you that I am doing more than just thinking of a number and sticking it on there. I agree that the numbers usefulness varies depending on your league setup, they are mainly to rank the players against each other. To pinpoint a number for a specific league I would need to know more about the league and the owners' behavior on the WW.

fair enough, thanks for the explanation. it seems like Mendy is a lock for being somewhere in the RB12-20 range barring injury and Cobb needs things to change for him to be more than a flex play (they easily could but there's a chance they don't). I just think the sure thing is worth more.

as far as trying to slip Britt in cheap, if he's dropped that shows 1 guy values him lowly but could say nothing about other 10-14 guys. I'd rather get him spending 60-80% of my remaining $ than try to sneak him through to save money for guys who need target/role increases or who don't have his huge games in the past.

Yeah, if Mendy were on my WW I'd have no problem spending 60-80% of my budget on him. Britt 50%. Both have the potential to be mainstays in plenty of line-ups for the remainder of the year.
