The average adult spent 172 hours drunk during lockdown (1 Viewer)

😱 That is literally an average of ~10 drinks a night 5-6 days a week.
That’s pretty bad.  My drinking typically starts at 10 pm (after kids are asleep and I’ve done my workout).  My goal is to limit to 2 drinks (rum and coke) a night but that plan often goes astray.

I actually lost a lot of weight when they shuttered bars and restaurants in March/April, kept going thru May and into June however when they started calling everyone back into work and I started to play Tennis again...drinking went way up when I have to spend any time with anyone outside of my wife.

Mrs Mop and I do not drink often together, mostly because she cannot hold her liquor and I get belligerent after too many drinks so we tend to have 1-2 at Happy Hour about once or twice a month.

Liquor adds weight, I see a lot of adults in much worse shape than when I left them. A couple have done like me, stayed out of bars and off draft beers for several months now. I don't drink at home, I'm a social drinker. I do like to swig a couple cold ones after a good workout, be it running, cycling, tennis, anything in this Florida heat feels better with a cold pilsner after.

I work hard, work out harder, and drink even harder.  Mad respect for how strong you’ve been during these times.  I need to get there.

Meh.  Never been a drink-at-home guy.  I would have one or two before going out, but never just popped a beer on a random Tuesday night.

Now that we're in this quagmire I have changed my tune a bit.  Friday or Saturday night I'll have a few in an attempt to get a little tipsy.  Had 4 beers tonight and have a little buzz.  That's about all I need.

Yeah I have gained about 15 pounds since WFH starting in March.

My wife is so embarrassed every week when the recycle truck picks up our can--the loud bang when a hundred Coors Light bottles go into the truck stabs her in the heart a little.

Third consecutive day sober.  I used to do that all of the time. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I've done it since April though.
