I bet this Corinne chick saw the footage and freaked out what daddy was going to say when she hooked-up with a black guy on tv...day one so she claimed assault or that she was drunk and taken advantage of. It was being filmed and if she was uncomfortable at the time there would have been production intervention. This stuff happens to athletes all the time.
According to another article:

"The source went on to explain that the “third party” who made the complaint was a producer on the show.

However, the source says the producers on the show encouraged Jackson and Olympios to get together.

Following the incident, there appears to be no bad blood between the two contestants. “DeMario was trying to reach Corinne via email, Instagram and Facebook for a few days. Finally, [he] got a hold of her, they exchanged numbers and they’ve been talking. They are both speaking and on good terms,” the source added.

It’s unclear when the interaction between Jackson and Olympios took place. As for the rest of the cast, a group of Paradise stars were spotted by fans at the airport in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico, on Sunday morning."

So if that's true, In doubt Corinne is the one making this a big deal.

The bolded sounds like is why they shut down the show.  This is basically unfolding like that Unreal show!

No no no no no!!!!!

Now you all go back to ####### Mexico right now and finish taping the stupid ####### show!!!!

This can't be happening.

In Paradise is by far the best version of this show, and this will suck if it ends up killing it.
:goodposting:   I hadn't really thought about it much, but I think BIP is the reason I keep watching the #### show that is The Bachelor; I need the back stories to the lunatics that go to paradise.

Mark Burnett need to come up with Survivor in Paradise to quickly fill the void.

:lmao:     Someone on Previously TV said exactly the same thing - that they're only watching the "main" shows so they have some sense of who the "players" are on Paradise.

I really can't see why they can't just finish their investigation, settle the legal issues quietly and return to that dump in Puerto Vallarta ASAP to resuming filming, probably without Corinne and "DeMario," and still make the early August airdate.  And the idea that this will kill BIP permanently is, I think, ridiculous.

Corinne is a dumb whore and I'm not hearing anything about her crying rape here. What exactly could the issue be if there's no victim? This is literally the worst thing that's ever happened to me.

Her price per film drops about 30% once there is available video of her with a black guy

update on BiP from TMZ:

"Bachelor in Paradise" was shut down because a field producer filed a complaint that Corinne Olympios seemed so drunk the first day of filming she had no ability to consent to DeMario Jackson's sexual moves in a swimming pool, and producers nonetheless let it play out on film.

The producer in question believes Corinne may have been sexually assaulted, although we know DeMario claims the encounter was not only consensual ... she was the instigator.

TMZ broke the story of DeMario's version of events ... that he and Corinne were drinking heavily and making out at the bar. She suggested they take it to the swimming pool, where they took their clothes off and began "rubbing, touching and fingering." He also claims she put her genitals in his face and he began licking. He says he was unable to consummate things because he was so drunk.

Our sources say the field producer in question was assigned to shadow Corinne, and began hearing stories from people on the set that Corinne was so drunk she had no idea what was going on in the pool. It's unclear if the producer watched the incident, but we know she has NOT seen the footage.

People familiar with the footage tell TMZ Corinne appears "fully engaged." As we reported, after the complaint was filed Warner Bros immediately dismissed both DeMario and Corinne and launched an investigation into "misconduct."

Production has been suspended until the investigation is completed."

Mm, not so sure, as the media has started now removing her name from the story, perhaps invoking their "rape shield" procedures.   Oof.  THANKS DEMARIO

All that I can buy.  And there is zero reason why the show can't resume production after everything settles (metaphorically and literally) in a week or so.

You could make a fortune selling a full hardcore version of this show online. Recruit 20 hot people and fly them down to Mexico, exact same rules with the roses and whatnot, open bar, all sex is fair game for the final production. Charge $89.99 for the season, $14.99 for an episode, maybe a special VIP package where you can tune in 24/7 to the live feed. Charlie Sheen could host the thing. :moneybag:

I mean, if the studio thinks they could potentially get sued because they put people in a position to be assaulted, no wonder they want to wrap it up.  They are probably ####ting their pants.  I doubt we see this show again unfortunately.

But that's been an inherent risk of this show since its inception.

If she was too drunk to consent, what about him, or is that something that can only apply to women?

The obvious remedy would be to limit or eliminate the alcohol available to the participants. I'm pretty sure that would also kill the show, however.

iirc, there's a "bartender" at the location. not sure what the rules are in Mexico surrounding serving an obviously intoxicated person, but if it went down like it's being reported he may have exposed ABC to liability.

of course, there's probably language in the contract/NDA that absolves ABC if something like that happens.

Zero chance this is ever an issue if both parties are white. Toss a black dude with a hot blonde and #### is going to get real. Sad commentary on our society.

Yep. This is why cocaine & marijuana were outlawed too, hysteria over black men raping white women. I blame Jeff Sessions.

It's a good thing DeMario learned his lesson about being sexually promiscuous from his time on the Bachelorette. Oh, wait.... (not condemning, just commenting)

As for Corrine, It doesn't sound like she did anything different than she did with Nick on the Bachelor, except DeMario is a black man.  Ooohhhhhh...........I get it now.

"Daddy's jumping in!"

Uhhhhhh.....

TMZ article claiming Corrine had a boyfriend when she went on the show. So it's pretty clear they just brought her on there for a couple of episodes of drunken hijinks before she went home.

I think she's probably an awful person but if they served her to the point of being black out drunk and then didn't stop it when she sat on some guy's face on camera that's a problem

http://www.tmz.com/2017/06/12/bachelor-in-paradise-sexual-assault-corinne-olympios-demario-jackson/

Corinne Olympios claims she was in a blackout state when she got sexual with fellow "Bachelor in Paradise" star DeMario Jackson ... and she blames producers for not pulling the plug and protecting her, although our sources say people who have seen the tape claim she was lucid and fully engaged.

Sources close to Corinne tell TMZ she was drunk the entire day of filming when she ended up naked in the swimming pool with DeMario. Although DeMario remembers everything -- from "rubbing, touching and fingering" to licking her genitals -- she says she remembers nothing.

We're told the day after the swimming pool incident she claims fellow cast members began telling her stories of what went down with DeMario. She says several cast members told her they had voiced concern to people on the production crew that she was in no position to consent to sexual activity, but the crew did not heed their warnings.

Production sources insist other cast members did not complain to anyone that Corinne was too drunk to form an intent to have sexual contact with DeMario.

Corinne has told her friends she has a boyfriend and wouldn't have done what she did -- especially with cameras rolling -- to jeopardize that relationship.

As we reported, sources familiar with the footage say she appeared "fully engaged." Corrine doesn't fully blame DeMario because he too was drunk. She blames producers and has lawyered up.

The guy says he was too drunk to "consummate"?  So basically on national tv, he had an incredibly hot chick grinding naked on top of him but he couldn't get it up.  Let him go, that's enough of a punishment right there.

It will be interesting to see what the legalise is that is written into the contract that the contestants sign. I am sure there is some language about we are not responsible for anything you do while you are on camera. Basically that we are just filming you and you are responsible for your own actions. Also, I am sure that the cameraman who follow each person around are instructed to monitor alcohol consumption, so they know where each contestant is in terms of drunkeness.

As for DeMario, if he was drunk too, and basically Corrine was being the sexual initiator, couldn't he sue her for sexual assault? Not that he would want to, but in a situation where both participants are drunk, how can either party consent? If he didn't force himself upon her, how could he be charged with assault? I don't think it would be right if he took any sort of punishment in this situation.

Corrine knows what she is doing, she isn't going after the drunk black dude who ate her out, she is going after ABC and I would bet she cashes in. God bless that whore, she is the American dream.

I'm pretty confident that no district attorney  is going to press charges against a 105 lb hot girl for shoving her vagine (which in this case, is platinum) in a 200 lb dude's face. Doesn't matter how drunk he is.

Double standard? You betcha. But that's the way the world works.

This. You dont get to run a multi million dollar business without some brains in your head....

I went down the rabbit hole of reading the comments on the TMZ link. While certainly not condoning the post, my favorite was "You burn the coal, you pay the toll"

This all happened IN MEXICO. I'm would guess ABC considered this when they moved from the mansion to MEXICO.  Any laws broken would be subject to the local laws and no coverage I've seen mentions that local law enforcement is involved.

Yeah, but if she sues the show/ABC, laws don't matter as it'll be a civil matter, not a criminal one. And ABC would be more likely to settle than go to trial, regardless of the facts.

So, reports are that Corrine was "fully engaged" and "lucid".

I have a problem with people consenting and then retro-actively not consenting for personal gain days later.  I've seen that play out in real life with a friend of mine, where a girl decided several days later that she was raped (after my friend made it clear he didn't want to see her again).  The only reason he didn't get thrown in the brig and hard time at Camp Levenworth was because there happened to be enough witnesses to enough of what went on that CID dropped the charges.

I personally think the penalty for falsely accusing rape should be equal to the penalty for raping.  It is just as destructive to a person's life.  I'm not saying that is definitely what went down here because I really do not know, but it seems like that may be the case.

ETA: the situation with my friend, that was the 3rd person this girl had accused of rape in her 2 years of Army service.  I know nothing about the other situations outside of the fact that she had accused two others at previous units.  Nothing ended up happening to her.  And to clarify, I absolutely know she was not raped, without a shadow of doubt.

Chris Harrison sat at the table next to us at dinner Saturday night.  Seemed cool.  Casual.  Hoody.  Not a very big dude...
Dude is so rich for essentially just being a decent looking MC...  well done.

I wonder how many contestants he's boned after breaking it off with his wife
