Nick's reaction when she interrupted him mid-proposal was priceless.
So good. Really was kind of a SHOCKING season finale. We were near certain it was going to be Nick, especially after the awkwardness of the last date with Shawn. Well played, ABC.

The only surprising/dramatic part was her heartlessly letting Nick get all the way to the proposal before stopping him.

I'd say nick's a lock for the next bachelor which means I'll be tuning out. Dude's a phony but he's exactly the type of ham the producers love.

Nick: so with that said... reaches for pocket.

Kaitlyn: Wait...

Nick: ok, then no?

Kaitlyn: babble babble blah blah

Nick: *** gee, thanks for stringing me along through my whole speech before stopping me... ok, where are the exits? ***

2 of the ugliest ppl on the inside (and shawn pretty ugly on the outside) ended up together.

all is well in the world.

He confronted her about that on the after show (yes, my wife wouldn't let me turn the channel).. He said he didn't care about the show, etc., and wished she would have told him before he got the ring.

But, uh, Nick? It isn't about you... it is a tv show and they are there for ratings, which means they want to air your embarrassing breakup moment.

I laughed out loud when he said this...my wife was nearly tearing up, but when he said that, I just lost it.

I agree that there's zero chance he's the next bachelor, but I honestly think it'd be an interesting spin. He was a heel on Andy's season, and clearly a heel at the beginning of this season, but truthfully, aside from the fact that he and Shawn didn't get along, I didn't really think he was that bad of a guy. I think you put ANY other ex-contestant in his position, and they'd get the same animosity. He handled it pretty well. He's a little arrogant for my liking, but he was there for...ahem...the right reasons.

I think his comments after being shut down were the best I've heard...basically, Look, I'm not trying to be rude or short with you, but there's really nothing you can say that will make me be OK with this.

Whatever. At the end of the day, if she ended up with Nick, they'd have just had a giant shagfest for a few months until one of them got bored, then they'd be done. Now, she's with Shawn, and she'll continue to satisfy his needs until the jealousy that his arch enemy conquered that mountain first, and the WHOLE COUNTRY knows about it, bubbles up and he can't take it anymore. Of all the recent couples, these two are the two I least expect to make it...

I agree that any other ex-contestant would have received the same treatment as Nick. He handled it pretty well considering. I didn't care for Nick at first but, honestly, by the end of the show, I was pulling for him over Shawn the whiner.

She may just end up banging Nick on the side since it was mostly just physical attraction with him.

Bachelor in Paradise starts Sunday... and it is such a better show than the trainwreck that this franchise has become.
Crazy Ashley is on this season, and I cannot WAIT.

She is an absolute smokeshow (off camera), I just dont like what they do to her on camera (makeup and hair)

but if you google her. damn. that beautiful "regular" girl. love that

I cant believe how much they messed with the structure of the show simply to avoid Reality Steve spoilers. No real hometown dates, instead they meet the family in some room in a hotel. having the finale at the bachelor house, etc.

And as it turns out, his original prediction (Kaitlyn picks nobody) was wrong. Reality Steve and his ego may have used up their 15 minutes.

There was a moment where they paid homage to Reality Steve, when it seemed, for about 5 seconds, she was gonna tell Shawn she couldn't be with him either.

Then she spun it around into "I'm yours"

It was so deliberate.

I knew Shawn was going to win pretty early on, she posted a pic of them in bed on Instagram.

Started watching on a delay to avoid commercials. Then my wife had to stop midway through the show to do some work and I end up getting spoiled reading on my phone. I didn't even bother watching the end. Glad it was Shawn she picked on many levels. Mostly because I wouldn't have been able to stand him being the bachelor. Terrible season. Bring on paradise.

Two excellent postings right here.

Just glad it's over. Bachelor in Paradise looks fantastic, with a crazy level off the charts.

I haven't watched the finale yet but I guess this means:

Kaitlyn: "When I look at Nick, I know I'm in love".... [with the other guy].

I thought it was obvious Shawn would be the final one when she made him run naked across the golf course.
He had her at...... SCCHHAA-WINGGGG

The Ashleys showing that once crazy drama queen, always crazy drama queen. Splinter really screwed that up by accepting Ashley's date. Should have said he would prefer to spend more time with Jade, and he'd be in.

Pretty confident that he didnt have a choice in the matter. If the events of the bachelor and bachelorette are 98% scripted to manufacture drama and story lines, I'm pretty confident this show takes it the rest of the way to full on nonsense.

The assignment/timing of the date cards was way too convenient. The previews also show Jared and his horrendous "beard" making out with crazy Clare, which should mean plenty of Ashley I's pathetic crying and all kinds of additional shenanigans.

Those sisters are tiring. The sister is just mad none of the guys showed her any attention except the meathead that she didn't like. She's probably the reason Ashley is so self conscious and insecure. She keeps putting her down.

The crazy bird lady getting carted off on a stretcher was scripted? :mindblown:

Jade wearing no makeup and still looking the hottest.
i don't get her appeal.. seems like all the guys on here and on the show think she's the hottest and I'm not seeing it.

maybe I need to check out her nudes.

Edit: NM, checked out the nudes.. awesome

Out of the 15+ on the show, how many are actually a good catch in real life? Probably Jared and Jade. I haven't seen any of the past shows but... Tenley?

Didn't think Jade looked good without makeup. Also, the sisters have bad legs. Very close to cankles.

Jade is model quality. Jillian is also really sexy and probably the one I'd be trying to hook up and party with. The rest are mostly solid 7's and 8's but just truckloads of drama/baggage/legit insanity. Really excited this is finally underway.

I guess Jade and Carly are roommates now. Send your resumes and I'll forward them on.

Not really.

Carly says she comes off terrible on Paradise, so flame on!

I was thinking the same thing. I have not seen the pictures but I'm guessing those were taken a long time ago? She looks a bit haggard IMO.
