The Bears need to move on Branch. (1 Viewer)

2 first round picks are nothing (literally) for them. The Bears have been blowing first round picks forever. Now we can have 2 solid wrs for what would amount to nothing. AND, the Bears can eliminate the tempation to embarrass themselves with another Cade McNown or Rex Grossman, Curtis Enis, etc.

Is Moose considered a "good player"? Perhaps they can throw him and his contract to New England and give them a 1st rounder.

I'm all for getting Branch if it means no more Muhammad. Please.

Please God let him go to a team with a passing game. Please God let him go to a team with a passing game. Please God let him go to a team with a passing game. Please God let him go to a team with a passing game. Please God let him go to a team with a passing game. Please God let him go to a team with a passing game.

Methinks you are too hard on Mushin. I think Bears QBs(nor Griese) could make T.O. look bad. Moose is solid. A good fantasy wr2

I totally disagree with this. Even though Muhammad didn't catch a ton of balls last year...he still did a lot of litle things well. He's one of the best blocking receivers in the entire league. The Bears may have overpaid, but Muhammad is a solid player.

And therein lies the key. The Bears like to run the football, so a WR of any value to them would have to be an exceptional blocker. As Bears writer Don Pierson wrote in a great article today...

"General manager Jerry Angelo never has been a big fan of receivers in general, figuring they are mere appendages on his kind of football team, the fluff on the perimeter of a sport won by running and blocking and tackling."

Him speak truth.

How does sending Moose to NE help the Bears. The idea was to get 2 wrs in Chicago
How does obtaining Branch and paying a fat contract help the Bears?? Especially when Briggs is due at the end of the year & Vasher's already been complaining about wanting a new deal. Briggs & Vasher are more vital to the Bears than Branch could ever be.

 As a Bears fan, I hate the hole at WR2, but I'll take it if it means continued defensive dominance and offensive line stability (pay those guys first!!!!!). Keep drafting WRs and try to get a couple decent prospects in the fold at all times, along with one solid option.

Think the Pats would take Airese Curry?

:lmao: Damn! I knew I couldn't say it with a straight face...
