The Birther Conspiracy Thread (3 Viewers)

Wouldn't it be great if the Kenya Tourism Agency decided to make a quick buck out of this? "Come see the REAL birthplace of Barack Obama!" They could have one village as a tourist trap, name it "Obamaville", and have everyone there swear they knew him as a baby. Then offer the Birthers round trip one way vacation tickets.
Fixed.

Some Birther demographics. LHUCKS should love this.

A new Research 2000 poll conducted for Daily Kos asked respondents a rather straightforward question: "Do you believe that Barack Obama was born in the United States of America or not?"

Only 4% of Democrats are confused about the president's place of birth. The number is slightly higher among independents, 8% of whom got it wrong. Among Republicans, though, 28% -- more than one in four -- believe President Obama was not born in the United States.

For a crazy, demonstrably false, racist idea, these are discouraging numbers.

But I was especially surprised by the regional breakdowns. In the Northeast, West, and Midwest, the overwhelming majorities realize the president is a native-born American. But notice the South -- only 47% got it right and 30% are unsure.

 racist? Well, that had to come, didn't it?It's ironic to hear some of the same people roundly denounce others for their faith in the Bible and then put so much faith in a single document that simply verifies that Hawaii attests that Obama is alive - and no more.

Yeah, roll your eyes all you want, but that doesn't detract from the fact that the paper being presented is NOT a birth certificate. What's the big freakin' deal? Obama merely needs to authorize the release of the official birth certificate and the whole controversy is over. I would think the anti-Birthers (partial-Birthers? Abortioners? Birth Preventers?) would encourage him to do so in order to sink well founded barbs into the Birthers rather than only being able to call them names like they do now...

I think a more telling number is when you combine the percentage of people who say that Obama was not born in the U.S. with those who say they are not sure. That's a majority of the Republican party AND a majority of Southerners (regardless of party affiliation).

The longer he waits the more appearance of credibility he provides to the Birther argument. Like it or not - it's there and until proven otherwise with a legitimate document it doesn't look like it is going away soon. Why do you think he's not revealing the document, Leroy? Maybe because if he did it might show he defrauded schools by applying for aid as a foreign student in entrance documents?

Obama DID authorize Hawaii to release the record ... to the campaign. The document being presented is as official as it gets from the state of Hawaii. That's because Hawaii discarded all of their original paper birth certificates and other documentation when it went to electronic records in 2001. Numerous reporters have looked at, held, and attested to the certification of birth. Additionally, the Hawaii Director of Health has certified and attested to President Obama being born in his state. Courts have weighed in on the issue and dismissed all attempts to claim that President Obama is not a naturally born citizen. But that's not enough for you is it? You still cling to your completely delusional belief that Obama's presidency is illegitimate. You don't happen to be a white, evangelical, Southerner?

Okaaaaaaaaaay...

Why do you think he's not revealing the document, Leroy?
While I am not Leroy, I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. He might be refusing to release the Certificate of Live Birth because he wishes to protect someone, or several people for that matter. What if his real father wasn't the father he claims? He might be hiding the Certificate of Live Birth to protect that man, or that man's family who might not have any idea of their father's "mistake"?There has to be a simple reason why he refuses to sow the Certificate of Live Birth. However, it is ironic he refuses, since he campaigned on open governance. Why not release the Certificate of Live Birth and keep that campaign promise while making a symbolic show of respect for the Constitution?

90 Year Old Kenyan Woman Claims She Delivered Barack Obama

"I Was The Midwife"

Special To Associated Press

By Jerome Vandwerweigh

July 31, 2009

Koombutsa, Kenya (AP) Luwaanda "Lily" Mboba, a 90 year old well known midwife from the village of Kwatatura on the southeastern edge of Kenya, remembers the Obama family well.

"He was a gambler, that man. Owed a lot of people all kinds of money. And her? Nthulu!" She says, eyes blazing, using the derogatory central African term for "white prostitute".

"They came to me when she was only four months with child. 'We need this to be a secret,' they said. 'When the time has come, you will deliver the baby, and we will fly to America, to the Hawaiian Islands.'

"'Why not go there now?' I asked. 'Better the Americans deliver your half breed brat, who won't even be a true African!' I spat."

"Obama's father slapped me in the face. 'My son will be born in Kenya!' He shouted. 'He will learn what it means to be a Muslim. He will learn his true heritage. Only when he is fully indoctrinated in how to destroy the United States will he be allowed to reside there. This is our chance at revenge!' And he gave me much cash."

Mboba has in her possession a Kenyan birth certificate, signed by her, with Obama's name. But for now she says she must hide the original. "I have received death threats." Mboba is about to embark on a tour of the southern half of the United States, sponsored by WorldNetDaily.com.

She gets 10 grand!

I'm going to be honest here, I'm a believer in the birther conspiracy because I WANT to be a believer in the birther conspiracy. I could care less about the facts because there is no way the current "administration" will ever truly speak to this issue. Why should they? The Tri-Lateral Comission has their man in office and nothing is going to get him out of there.

That being said...if there is nothing to hide let's see the proof, Big O.

Personally I think he WAS born in Hawaii, but he used his foreign student status for entrance/aid benefits in college - which is why he also refuses to release that information. He'll have contradictory documentation that he can't explain away and goes directly to his character.

That's my conspiracy angle and I can't prove one damned bit of it.

A majority of Republicans are not sure if Obama was born in the USA? This is really bad for the Republicans. I mean really bad. The GOP looks ignorant here.

I always try to defend the South against stereotypes, but if 70% of Southern whites actually believe that Obama wasn't born in the USA, that's very sad. I can't believe those numbers. I don't WANT to believe them. It makes the worst stereotypes seem true.

"wasted away again here in obamaville... spendin' all those, naive American's dough... some people say that it's Bush who's to blame, but I know.. It's Obama's damn fault"...

Check out the poll linked in post #354. 28% of Republicans say he wasn't born in the USA.30% of Republicans are not sure. That's 54%.If we isolate just the states below the Mason-Dixon line, apparently 70% of all whites living there either believe he was born in Kenya or are unsure about it.

I'm not really a math guy, but I'm pretty sure 28 + 30 = 58.Don't get me wrong, I think 54% of Republicans are idiots...but apparently 58% believe Obama might be a dirty furrener.I might need to recalibrate my initial assumptions.

:hophead: back at ya. P asked a hypothetical, and it was answered as a hypothetical. How did you miss that? As long as the President throws down a cover-up sillier than anything Bush did, he is leaving himself on the defensive.

cover-up?

Yikes.

ORLY Taitz actually has produced Obama's Kenyan birth certificate.

We're through the looking glass here, people.
Oof. So now Biden is Pres, and Pelosi is VP? Yikes.
Yeah...that's how it's going down.
It's even worse than that, actually. Per the Constitution, if Obama is removed for any reason, Biden becomes President, but Pelosi retains her role as Speaker. There is no VP.Are you birthers really sure you want to do this??

some blog:

He was born in 1961. There was no Republic of Kenya then. Kenya was a colony.

It did not become independent until he was 2 years old. THE LINK.

Does that mean he was born in Hawai’i? Not necessarily. The Hawai’i certificate does not list a hospital:

The Kenya certificate is a fake. The Hawai’i certificate is suspicious.

There is only one Vulcan-clad logical conclusion: Barack Obama was never born.

Then who is the guy pretending to be him in the White House?
