The Cleveland Browns - YIKES (1 Viewer)

I am benching Braylon Edwards until further notice. Unbelievable they are this bad. Is it all on their OL? or did Derek Anderson forget what planet he is on?

No, Anderson just came back to earth.

Braylon is just being Braylon. I think he might still be hurting a little bit, but he is still dropping passes. He can be explosive, but probably needs to be 100%. IIRC, he started off slow last year, too.

Don't underestimate the absence of Jurevicius. He was a nice, dependable 3rd option in the passing game.

Romeo has probably been the biggest underachiever. Play calling has been questionable and overall management with things like clock management is a big fat "F."

-DA has been awful - not looking off the safety, throwing into coverage, looking like a deer in headlights, missing on throws, he's not doing anything well

-the oline can't pass block, I realize there have been some injuries but there's no excuse to block as poorly as they are - they aren't even giving DA a chance

-We miss Jurevicius, DA's safety valve last season - we needed a big play, he always stepped up

-Braylon's been terrible - not just the drops, he's either being beaten on his routes or (dare I say) quitting on them? He doesn't look to be going at the same clip as last year

-Winslow - I don't know what's up with the guy, the tough catches he made last year are simply not happening anymore

-Romeo's coaching poorly

-Our defense has not been good, but a lot of that falls on an offense that can't sustain a drive

-LB's are weak

-Weak pass rush

-Weak secondary

-Injuries taking its toll

The only good things about this team so far are Phil Dawson, Jamal Lewis (when he actually touches the ball), and the dline. The rest of it - garbage.

I think the front 7 for CLE has been actually good all things considered and I think Winslow isn't doing THAT bad, given half a chance. They really do miss JJ to take some heat off of under-performing Edwards, the pass-blocking has been iffy, and Anderson is really just not getting it done.

Derek Anderson has been awful and Crennel has no clue what he is doing.

Honestly, the Browns had a fairly middle of the pack schedule last year. In fact, it was really towards the easy side. This year's schedule is much more difficult. And despite all the love for DA, his stats last year have some pretty alarming things in them.

Out of the top 25 QBs in terms of QB rating last year, only one other one had a completion percentage lower 60%. That was Eli Manning at 56.1%. Anderson was at 56.5%. Anderson was the 17th ranked QB last year in QB rating. Not bad, but not terrific either.

One of the really alarming things to me is that he was sacked at one of the lowest rates in the league last year, and yet still threw the 2nd most INTs in the league. That means that he was making a lot of bad decisions. He was either trying to avoid sacks by just throwing the ball up for grabs, or he had plenty of time and was just making awful decisions/throws.

Overall, DA already has 7 turnovers (and a fumble that they recovered) in just 3 games. When you continually turn the ball over, you're going to lose more often than not.

And Crennel? Well, there's not really anything good to say about the guy as a coach. He has already made several highly questionable calls this season.

strange before braylon cut his heel they were saying how explosive and fast he looked i havent seen a brows game yet besides the steelers were conditions were bad im hopeing Cincy and clev is on..

DA is the player he was at the end of last season. Not a good one. Dont know if its the pressure of expectation or what. But I kinda figured the Browns would be bad this year, despite the media love.

I need to see Braylon puke on his shoes at Cincy this weekend (which I'm admitting is entirely possible) before I bench him.

vs. Dal, vs. Pitt. and @ Bal would have the owners of many WR's disgusted.

Yes. Overrated OL, QB, RB, HC, and GM.

Last year was a mirage based on schedule.

I've used the word implode regarding the Browns in every post I've made relating to them, but even I didn't think they would go 0-3.

Romeo has one foot out the door, and BQ has one foot in the huddle. They'll pick in the top 10 again this season.

Savage severely overplayed his hand with the win now mentality based off last season. Maybe he follows RAC to the burger stand?
