The dark side of baseball (1 Viewer)

Ever since I joined this forum, I've been mainly posting about football and basketball.  I bet all of you are wondering why I don't talk about baseball.  Well, the answer can be explained in 3 letters: P-E-D.  Yes, baseball was the last sport to outlaw steroids, but by the time they finally did, it was too late.  How else can you explain Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, Rafael Palmeiro, and Sammy Sosa not being in the Hall of Fame?  It took an act of Congress for MLB to do something about this.  As far as I'm concerned, the records in baseball are tarnished.  I mean, does the name Lyle Alzado mean anything to anybody?!!

I even saw that there's a website that talks about the steroid era in baseball.  It's called www.baseballssteroidera.com.  Please feel free to comment if you have the same feelings for baseball that I do.
Congrats on awaking from your coma the last 12 years. You’re going to love Netflix.

Thank you, Yogibear, for FINALLY talking about baseball.  The forum's long nightmare is finally over.

You know those chocolate treats that are shaped like bunnies you got when you were a kid at Easter?

I miss those.

Yogibear.  Yogi Berra?  Sometimes you just need to hide in plain sight.  I think this is really Yogi Berra posting 3 years posthumously and he is PISSED that the only performance enhancing drugs they had in his day were broads and booze.

Yogibear doesn't seem to be around here much to bask in the success of this thread... maybe we should PM him to thank him for sparking the discussion.

you know what yogi f it i am in how can i get you my credit card number take that to the bank brohan

In all honestly though, that era of baseball was no pic-a-nic.
One has to wonder, since the OP seems to be smarter then the average bear, why haven't we seen him the NBA thread at least.  Obviously he is biased against the Rangers, but what does he like to talk about.  Something smells fishy to me.

He's obviously busy stealing pic-a-nic baskets

Where's Ranger Smith when you need him?

Lyle Alzado played for the Cleveland Browns, not the St. Louis Browns, chief wahoo.

So I guess we have Matt Dumontelle to blame for you never posting about curling?
