Does that mean they are going to cut him this offseason and he will sign with the Patriots? That would be almost unfair to the rest of the league.they are getting him healthy for NE
I can't even get rid of the bum in my league. No one wants him.

You got ripped. Reggie Williams? Ugh...I can't even get rid of the bum in my league. No one wants him.Got rid of him in mine. MJD/Watson/Harrison for Portis/Betts/R. Williams.Be creative.

Right. If we're talking Dynasty, Marvin's value is clearly limited. He's 35 years old. That's OLD. He probably only has 2-3 1,000 yard seasons left in the tank at best.Realistically, he has less dynasty value than guys like Santonio Holmes and Dwayne Bowe.

cant stand quotes like this. show some respect...its Marvin Harrison. all class for so long and about a jillion top 10 fantasy finishes under his belt.I can't even get rid of the bum in my league. No one wants him.
I'm not quoting anyone. The truth is, no one wants him at this point. They seem him as an injured WR and nothing more. No one has any interest in him in my league either. Oh well hopefully he puts a good game up before the trade deadline goes by. He did look ok before he got hurt.I'm not quoting anyone. Its funny, I tried trading FOR him a few days ago. I offered Henry/Selvin Young/Gates for Marvin/Marshawn Lynch. I thought it was fair. I didnt think it was lopsided in any which way (am I off?) and the guy basically laughed at me. Apparently I know nothing about trades. But I think his injury, as stated above, has much to do with it and not diminished skills. Ok, fair enough. But the guy I offered him to was middle of the road. He has depth at RB and would be getting Gates instead of Marvin (his TE is McMichael) so I though it would fill a need for both of us (i need RB). And if you're REALLY lucky, like me, you got him and Andre Johnson.I thought my team would be so great this year.Problem is.....many teams won't be making the playoffs because of his injury.....
This is a very fair trade and actually favors the other guy more than you. As a Harrison owner, I would take that deal in a heartbeat under almost any circumstance. Gates>>>>>Harrison for the rest of the year and Henry/Young=Lynch. Not sure why you're even making this offer?Ok, fair enough. But the guy I offered him to was middle of the road. You could still get some value for those players. Teams that are in the lead may trade you for him and give up a slightly lesser player. And if you are not in the hunt, it will give you value to at least get in the hunt -- better than sitting it out come playoff time. And if you're REALLY lucky, like me, you got him and Andre Johnson.I thought my team would be so great this year.Problem is.....many teams won't be making the playoffs because of his injury.....![]()
Yup my season ended as well when I lost 7 out of my first 10 draft picks to injuries....And if you're REALLY lucky, like me, you got him and Andre Johnson.I thought my team would be so great this year.Problem is.....many teams won't be making the playoffs because of his injury.....![]()
My RBs STINK. I have Sjax and Henry/Young, Rhodes. If I dont get a RB like Lynch, I will rely on SY and I am not sold on that. Sure he has upside, but Lynch is solid week in week out, no? I am also thinking that Marvin has gas left in the tank. I am 2-5 and need a hail mary just to get into contention, I need to shake things up. Sjax killed me this year. Still a stupid trade, you think? This is a very fair trade and actually favors the other guy more than you. As a Harrison owner, I would take that deal in a heartbeat under almost any circumstance. I wouldn't call it "stupid" but I think you're giving up too much. Gates is an absolute stud and I'd honestly take him over Harrison even in a TE/WR flex spot. He's a sure thing. We just don't know what Harrison will be the remainder of the year. You have SJAX but he's coming back this week so at least wait to see what he does. I personally think Henry/Young is equal to Lynch. Lynch hasn't broken 100 yds this year and he plays for the Bills. My RBs STINK. I have Sjax and Henry/Young, Rhodes. Alright, thanks for the input, I think we hijacked this thread but whatever. In any event, the guy laughed at me and I wont be offering that trade up again. In a dynasty, I would be very happy if I could plug in a couple more years of 1,000 plus yards and a normal amount of Tds to go with it.He's 35 years old. That's OLD. He probably only has 2-3 1,000 yard seasons left in the tank at best.Realistically, he has less dynasty value than guys like Santonio Holmes and Dwayne Bowe.
??? Look at the season he had last year. He was the top scoring WR in my fantasy league last year. While that doesn't mean he'll do well this year, it is at least plausible he would do 85% of last year's output. You can hardly attack FBG for that. Sheesh. Thanks Football Guys for rating an old fart as your #1 receiver coming into the season!
i traded for Harrison and r. brown and some how I am 6-1, might because of Brady. at this point I just want Harrison healthy for the FF playoffsProblem is.....many teams won't be making the playoffs because of his injury.....Its funny, I tried trading FOR him a few days ago. They should have taken a deeper look at how things were changing between Wayne and Harrison, that's why they get paid. Also, Randy Moss ranked as the 25th WR or so???? Great post.i love these boards. So many of you are all such extremists. If a guy gets hurt, he's done. If a guy runs for 200 yards, he's better than LT. It's sad really. Harrison will be fine, he got hurt. Get over it. The guy has been healthy his entire career pretty much. Maybe he misses the rest of the year, maybe he doesn't. But he is not finished. I would gladly take him on my team any day of the week. He is a workout warrior and 35 is not what it used to be in sports, especially at WR. He will come back and come back strong.

FBG's should have known Harrison was going to get injured. even though he's been a bastion of health his entire career. Yep, you got 'em in a box. They should have taken a deeper look at how things were changing between Wayne and Harrison, that's why they get paid. Also, Randy Moss ranked as the 25th WR or so???? I got Kevin Jones for him, and Im happy with the deal.I can't even get rid of the bum in my league. No one wants him.
Excellent move for you.I just traded Ronald Curry for him straight up. The other guys get decent production now and I get Marvin to be my #3 behind Plax and DD. Playoff run here I come!
I really like that move. Unfortunately, in my 14 team league, no one willt trade. I have offered Curry and Henry/Young for Marvin and Leonard (I have Sjax) and the guy wouldnt budge. I though it was fair, but whatever. I like the move, nice job. And in no way is Marvin done for his career; probably not even this season, as I think he has a FF playoff run left in him.I just traded Ronald Curry for him straight up.
