THE FANTASY KING - 2012 FINAL PRE-SEASON EPIPHANIES (1 Viewer)

I drafted Rodgers and Calvin first and second last year. My rbs were greene, blount, and Felix jones. I won the league by over 100 points. I think if you are getting beat by 20 points at the qb position each week, you can't be very successful. All td's were 6 points, but still.

Person makes a prediction and gives reasons. That is all we can ask for shtick or not.
No, we can ask for it without the shtick. Intentionally misspelling words adds absolutely nothing to whatever points he was trying to make. And a lot of posters loved what Phil McRevis had to say too, but his shtick eventually wore thin on people, to the point that it eventually got him suspended.

I agree with some of this, and disagree with plenty, but it's a really good post with some well thought out perspectives. Thanks for putting it together. But really...

...Shrood...
:lmao:
Wondering if this is schtick or if he really can't spell. You should have started this post with Lloyd, which is an actual bold prediction. Luck finishing top 12 is not bold at all. Top 6 would be. Not like you're putting money down anyway.Could not agree more about Jonathan Stewart.
I think it gives his posts a certain....what's the word I'm looking for?....... PAN ASH
:lmao:

Not buying it also...Remember Ochocinco ??
This is extremely lazy analisis. I could may very well respond with:Remember Randy Moss??Just because two human beings are playing the same sport and now wearing the same colored laundry does not make them all comparable. Moss =! Lloyd =! Chad Johnson.Moss failed with the Raiders because he has a childs menalaty and could not motivate himself to play up to his abilities. He succeeded in New England because he was motivated and with an excellent quarterback.Chad Johnson failed because he never leanred how to run routes. Even players/reporters from Cinsinatti have said this. He would just free-Lance and Palmer would find him. You cant do that in England, its a very advanced passing system and he did not have the capacity for it.Brandon Lloyd has his own set of factors that will determine success/failure for him and for fantasy purposes. He does not have Moss physical talent, but he is an extremely talened player in my opinion. I also have no reason to think he is not motivated. As to his capacity to learn the system, I would say two words to you: Josh McDonalds. Josh knows the Patriot system intricately, and he knows Brandon Lloyd from Denver. I trust his judgment with respect wo whether or not Lloyd will be able to get it and I would infure from Lloyds signing that he does think Lloyd will.So I hope you can see why saying REMEMBER OCHOCINCO is lazy.Regards,THE FANTASY KING

Better schtick than Coach Oats but I think the results will be the same.

One question Fantasy King...How do you feel comfortable drafting Luck as part of a commitee and they a few paragraphs later say you need to get a top 4/5 guy.

Hello Poster,Well, my uptomin strategy is to draft a top 5 quarterback, but simple arithmatic tells us that we all cannot do that. If I were to miss out on a top 5 quarterback because of draft position and pick flow, I would then immediately switch gears and aim to be patient and wait on taking a quarterback because, as the addige goes, the #7-8 QB is in fact not that much better than #12-#13. In that case, I would feel very comfortable taking Luck as part of that committee, particularly at his current late (in my opinion) draft average position. And honestly, I would be comfortable with him as my QB1 if I felt I was very strong at other positions, which would be helped by waiting on a QB.Regards,THE FANTASY KING

Andrew Luck will be a top 12 quarterback in 2012.

Reggie Wayne will be a top 15 WR at bargain price.

Waiting on TE? Witten is your target.

Stop drafting Jonathan Stewart as “the next.” He’s not. Just stop.

BRANDON LLOYD IS GOING TO BE A TOP 5 WR

Titus Young - we sorta see it coming but we still don’t.

Peyton Manning is not going to be a QB1 in normal sized leagues.
Not my bhest epifany year, but hopefully some people grabed some of my good recommendations.REGARDS,

THE FANTASY KING

What exactly is an "uptomin" strategy?

As far as schtick goes, it feels like its been done. However, F-King did own up to his picks. Didn't try to run from them or make excuses for his bad ones. Good thread.

"Peyton Manning is not going to be a QB1 in normal sized leagues."

Actually this is NOT a Fail, I used this and the countless opinions of the same vein on Manning around the entire FF world to my advantage and scoop up Manning in a BUNCH of leagues

it shot his value down and made him easy to acquire, so i was giddy every time i saw the "experts" poo-pooing Manning's return

i have NEVER gotten a top5 QB so easily and cheaply

Thanks
