And I may be wrong, but I don't think CSTU has an issue with the topic.  I think he has an issue with your characterization of what the students are allegedly protesting for or against.

Theoretically, convincing you should be simple -- look at the world around you.  

Look at the polls which show Americans of all races agreeing that race relations are at their worst in the history of that polling, and look at comment sections where people are expressing their frustration over media double standards on race issues like the one you're supporting here.  That frustration is certainly a contributing factor among Trump's support, but even others who hate Trump are starting to express a similar unease with the racial double standards that you seemingly support.

Hypothetically, pretend that you're a boss, and you treat your two employees much differently then each other.  You yell at and punish Employee A for doing the same things that you excuse or even praise from Employee B.  

You don't think that Employee A is going to grow to resent you and even Employee B over time?

Similarly, pretend that you're a parent, and you treat your two sons much differently then each other. When Son A attacks Son B you don't punish him and you cover it up when their mom asks about it.  But when Son B attacks Son A you go out of your way to mention it to their mom and harshly punish Son B.

You don't think that Son B is going to resent you and Son A for what he recognizes as unfair treatment?

It's human nature to resent unfair, disparate treatment.  Based on your posts in this thread you obviously recognize this reality for other races.  So then why completely change your position for white people?  Even if we accept your history rationale, does applying double standards in the present help or hurt race relations in the present?   Will it help or hurt race relations going forward?

You should stop applying double standards because as you recognize with other races, that practice is exacerbating the very problem you pretend to want to fix.  And, no, angrily singling out white kids and preventing them from getting to class is not fighting racial injustice.  It is racial injustice.

With all that said, I know that none of what I wrote will change your mind.  Carry on.

I thought we were at a stage where one's skin tones did not define their race but rather race was defined by identification.  If I or GM were walking along there but we identified as Black or Native American (or is the correct term now first Americans, I lose track) would we have been allowed to pass? 

Also, maybe someone in the know can help, were Whites, whatever that means, denied passage through social opprobrium or through physical restraint or violence?

Would it have been a micro aggression (or perhaps a greater one, is there an official lexicon for the degrees of aggression?) had I been asked about my racial identification? That seems only a step or two away from being asked for one's papers.

Gay frogs.  Damn, that guy has some strange wiring.  Seems to me he is over the line for what might be needed to civilly commit him.  How did he get to gay frogs?  I know that frogs swing both ways, land and water, for their environment.  Maybe it is the swinging both ways thing that got him going.  Learning just know about his thoughts on amphibians I am curious to hear his thoughts on the ambidextrous and on amphitheaters.  Maybe he is just set off by words beginning with "am".   If so imagine how he would have gone off if he had stood before the Lord and the Lord had sad that his name is I Am. I've stated it often that race does not exist.  Like you said, I thought we were past this stupid skin tone issue. 

The white kids go to Berkeley and understand the deal - they didn't confront them to avoid social opprobrium.

Of course everyone's taxes will go up if we went to a single payer......A LOT.  And everyone will need to pay something, regardless of income.  You can't just "tax the rich" to fund a single payer system.

Maybe everyone on this board understands that.....but not everyone in society understands that.  What about the 47% who don't pay any federal income tax?   Many lower income Americans will expect "free healthcare" and expect someone else to pay.

But my desire for it to be so doesn't make it so. Further the Intelligence community has lied to us enough that now their word just isn't enough. I need some proof. I saw where some alleged memos leaked linking Trump to a quid pro quo scheme with the Russians. Those might be interesting but still would like a second source or some serious followup. I still think Trump will be impeached. I think he is just that ham handed and I think the GOP would prefer Pence at the wheel.
