The Official Kicker (K) Thread (2 Viewers)

For weeks, this article has been pimping Josh Lambo. This week, he is not even in their top 22--despite a dome game against the Colts that are 25th ranked against kickers. I like this article and look at it each week, but they are losing a bit of credibility here.

P.S. Lambo has only 1 potential bad weather game for the rest of the season (next week in Tenn.) and with Foles back in the line-up, one would think the Jags offense will be decent enough to get into the red zone enough times to give Lambo a fair amount of attempts.

Congrats @Stompin' Tom Connors.  You can PM me your information and I will forward it to him.

Doesn’t affect the win (congrats Tom!), but Wrigley seems to be GAINING ground for missing high on the long field goal (negative deviation added to points deviation).  In which case I could have won running away simply by picking 2 yards as my long guess...

Nuh uh, because I would have guessed 1 yard.

I don't get the mods here sometimes. I thought a post or 2 I was banned for was pretty tick tacky over the last year myself.
Might make for a fun poll...whose discipline is more unpredictably arbitrary:  Roger Goodell or FBG Moderator?

(At least Joe himself usually explains himself before/while firing the suspension cannon...)

Yes Joe does a good job of that it's some of the other mods I'd like to see clarification. Also if you get the suspension you always can't see why until you're unbanned

I’m the type of guy that sticks with a kicker until bye and then moves on, but totally overthinks his next choice.

Lost Myers. The wire is sort of meh.

Gould is questionable

hauschka is there against Miami

Lambo and Koo seem like good choices but rated pretty low everywhere.

What are kicker folk doing this week on their bye week?

What about D. Carlson at home against Cinci?

In the Rent-A-Kicker feature by Harstad, Arizona's Zane Gonzalez (vs SF) is listed as one who should be avoided at all costs. This is hard to reconcile. Gonzalez is averaging nearly 11 points per game on the road in standard formats. It's not as if the Cards will light up the Niners with TDs.

It's that moving the ball at all will be tough and the Cardinals might find themselves playing catch up from the jump.

Bears coach Matt Nagy implied Eddy Pineiro isn't in danger of losing his job despite missing two more kicks in Sunday's Week 11 loss to the Rams.

Pineiro made a big kick to beat the Broncos in walk-off fashion earlier this year, but he's been a disaster ever since, converting just three of seven field goals with a long of 25 yards over his last four games. He also shanked an extra point in last week's win over Detroit. Despite his recent slump, the Bears aren't ready to turn the page on Pineiro, at least not yet. "You want to be able to make those kicks," said Nagy after Sunday night's loss in L.A. "Eddy knows he’s got to make those." Good kicking has been hard to come by for the Bears, who saw their season abruptly end on Cody Parkey's infamous "double-doink" in last year's playoffs.

I think it might be time to say bye to Slye. CAR not generating tons of points -- 4 weeks straight of 5 or less points.

Anyone see a reason why he might hold value ROS?

His remaining schedule is good.  All his games might be in good weather or indoors.  He might not be the best ROS kicker but he is probably a top 10 ROS kicker on paper.

Week 12 is at the Saints in a dome.  The Saints have given up the 17th most points to opposing kickers.

Week 13 is the Redskins at home.  It could be a good weather game.  The Redskins have given up the 9th most points to opposing kickers

Week 14 is at the Falcons.  Retractable roof game.  The Falcons have given up the 4th most points to opposing kickers.

Week 15 is the Seahawks at home.  It could be a good weather game.  The Seahawks have given up the 10th most points to opposing kickers.

Week 16 is at the Colts.  Retractable roof game.  The Colts have given up the 8th most points to opposing kickers.

Kyle Allen is KILLING his value. Multiple INTs in the red zone destroyed several FG (or extra point) opportunities.

I'm with everyone else this week.  I'm flying on the Lolita Express.  Younghoe is facing the Buccaneers who have given up the most points to opposing kickers this year by a wide margin.  The game is in Atlanta with a retractable roof.  Younghoe has hit 7 out of 8 field goals in the last 2 weeks.

Being changing from week to week, but it hasn't really worked out too well.  Missed out on Prater and Koo on waivers so found Folk instead.  Maybe I'll just keep him or maybe someone will drop someone better they were just using for a bye.

For Follk, watch out for weather in NE Sunday. I'm in the Boston area and it looks rainy and windy.

Prater sitting in waivers and all other options mentioned here are gone. Thinking DET offense could be sneaky decent with Driskel against WASH D...but not decent enough to score TDs. Plus, Prater has a big leg. He's ranked too low this week.

It's a good week to scoop up Zane Gonzalez.  He is the second highest scoring kicker.  He has multiple field goals in all but 2 games.  He has only missed 3 field goals and 1 extra point attempt on the season.  He is on a quick paced, pass heavy team leading to a lot of opportunities.  He will have nice weather games at home in weeks 13-15.  You could probably wait until he comes out the bye next week but I'm not going to risk it.

49ers K Robbie Gould (quad) is doubtful for Week 12.

The 49ers will again go with ex-Charger Chase McLaughlin, who has made 4-of-5 field goals and 4-of-4 extra points with San Fran this season.

I am low-key keeping an eye on the Lions, as Prater was dropped when Stafford went down. If Stafford comes back, he has a few good matchups in 15 & 16 (TB 32nd & DEN 29th)
Koo or Prater both look good this week.

Prater - gone

Gonzalez - long gone

Only options are Elliott, Carlson, Boswell, McLaughlin....Slye is the highest scorer available, then Bailey (on bye)....and on to the dregs.  Thanks for the tip, I'll keep an eye on the weather and maybe change to McLaughlin - but did you see that FG he missed???  Yikes, I don't think I've ever seen a kick that bad.
