The *OFFICIAL* Marshawn Lynch Bandwagon (1 Viewer)

What you saw in the Buffalo game is what we've been seeing for three years at Cal; a strong, fast runner with good instincts and nice moves who simply refuses to go down. He's going to be a successful RB in the NFL. Buffalo is still not a great offensive situation, but if he can manage 1500 total yards and 7 TDs he should be top 15, and I think that's reasonable. (I had him projected for 1300 total and 9 TDs before the season; probably gets a bump from that now).

Anybody know where I can find a video of his TD run? Been hearing about it and looking for it on Sportscenter, etc. but haven't been able to see it yet.

Go to nfl.com, it's on the videorecap. Glad I managed to snag him late in one redraft. I am tempted to start him over Deuce @ TB, but the Pitt run D looks pretty stout. Who's starting him in week 2 and over who?

I don't have him in any leagues and I'm not a Bills fan, but they seem to have a good one in Lynch. He's not great yet, but he already has a professional RB presence that should really kick in when the game slows down for him.

I don't think they'll miss McGahee at all.

to me, his most impressive run was this one:

4-1-DEN 29 (3:53) 23-M.Lynch left tackle to DEN 27 for 2 yards (58-N.Webster).

Lynch was stopped before the LOS and pushed about 5 Broncos two yards. That was an amazing play. The dude will be an animal at the stripe.

He also appeared to get stronger as the game went on. that explains his low YPC in pre-season, no?

I am curious to see what he can do against Pittsburgh next week - I have Marshawn Lynch as a keeper and I am certainly happy with what I have seen so far, I am just nervous about his schedule this year - NE twice, MIA twice, BAL, JAX ... it appears to be a daunting schedule.

I agree that this was just as impressive as his TD run...he was stopped dead cold and still made the first. Preseason does not mean crap, especially in Buffalo...

He not only was stopped cold, he had his helmet knocked 10 yards the other direction, before he made his push.

I am on the bandwagon. Fantastic first game against a very good run defense. That 23 yard touchdown run was highlight reel material.

I'm thinking he might be a little better than Top 15 by year end. Possibly Top 10.

Had him fall to me in a 4 keeper league this year. Small consolation after the turds that Benson and Jacobs laid (the two RBs I kept), he'll probably get the start soon..

I'm going to wait and see how it shakes out, but after week 1, dropping Randy Moss to keep Reggie Brown is looking like a very bad decision...

Oh I everyone sings a different tune around here...... ;)

Sorry, just moody this morning. I laugh at the lack of love in the pre season, now a thread naming him a god....
Who named him a god? He just got me excited b/c I traded for him in my Dynasty League. I watched him at Cal, and knew he wasn't a fluke. On a side note, I always HATED McGahee. I'm glad to see they made a good upgrade.Don't bring your black cloud in here, sir! This is a positive thread!

Lynch isn't the most explosive back, but he's pretty shifty laterally and he's a load to bring down. He almost reminds of Larry Johnson in playing style, which is funny because he was more of a scat back/speed guy during his first year at Cal. Much like Kevin Jones, he put on a lot of weight and morphed into a power back. Buffalo won't give him enough scoring opportunities to crack the top 8, but he's a really solid RB2 who should finish in the top 20.

Sorry, I guess as a Bills fan, I have read and noticed more negative posts about him. Amnd compared to the Lynch = Arrington threads, this thread does elevate him to god status. Sorry to be the buzz kill!!!!And yes, I had chub when he lost his helmet and still pushed forward for the 1st down!

Very impressive, but you have to acknowledge Jason Peters as well. That mean is a true BEAST. He was tossing people all over the field yesterday.

"On a side note, I always HATED McGahee. I'm glad to see they made a good upgrade."

McGahee would have never made that 1st down, nor that touchdown for that matter. He certainly has(had?) the talent to do it, he just didn't show it in the last few years. And yes, I think (based on 1 game!) that the Bills line is improved, but not it is not the second coming of the Hogs quite yet...
