The Other Peterson (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, noticed that his rankng is surprisingly high. Anyone jumping on him this week and why? I am leary about suckering myself into a Thursday play. If it backfires you feel miserable for three days.

if your in a PPR he could make a nice RB2-3. don't think the bears will be running effectively against the skins so adrian could catch 7-8passes like he did last week.

This week's prelim rankings are scary...I'm going to act like I never looked.

I'm starting Rudi and KJ over Peterson.

I have both KJ and Peterson (along with Henry, Parker and Kolby) and will start either 2 or 3 of these guys (I can start a 2nd QB at Flex but that would be either Warner at bad match up @ Seattle where he get killed or the young Tavaris Jackson (decent road match up at SF).I definitively have Peterson over KJ. KJ has been wildly inconsistent under Martz and the Lions are very likely to get behind early vs. Dallas.Fred Jackson put up very good total yardage numbers vs Washington last week (as did Peterson vs Giants). I see no reason why Peterson can't chalk up another ~ 150 total yards (with a 60% likelihood of a TD) vs a Washington team that will likely be reeling from a variety of factors and a short prep week.As of now I'm going with Peterson, Parker and either Henry or Kolby (depending on reports on Henry's knee and the KC QB). Kolby's stock goes down if neither Huard or Croyle play as even Denver can stop a one dimensional offense.

AP "lite" should be a decent play, but WAS is tough against the run. In my PPR league, I don't think he'll crack my top 3 of SJax, MJD, and Ryan Grant though. I wouldn't mind if I had to use him, though.

I will be using him over C. Taylor as he is my only real option. I am hoping he continues to produce in the passing game.

You're right...KJ doesn't have a good matchup...I might start Fred Taylor (v CAR) over Peterson though. Can get over that Wash D in Wash...True that Jackson did have a good week. And the 'Skins were all in Miami on Monday. I guess the big question is, How do they come out this week? Infuriated and ready to destroy Chicago? Or simply exhausted?

I'm in the same situation and went with Peterson over KJ last week.He is getting all the carries for the bears plus he is the security blanked checkdown for Grossman and Grossman is going to him quite often. In PPR he is a very strong RB2 play.

I don't disagree but the x-factor is what state if mind the Redskins will be in on Tursday as well as how emotionally and physically tired they might be.If they are still emotionally drained there could be some opportunity for the Bears to put up decent numbers. The Skins are saying all the right things so far - they sound focused. So it's no sure thing - but it's hard to say what will happen on Thursday.I think AP2 could put up ok points - but I wouldn't want to hang my season on it....

i'm playing him. he's done well the last two weeks. plus, not knowing for sure if jacobs will play sunday, can't afford to sit him and then find i need him. :goodposting:
