The Broncos were running an option offense when McDaniels was fired in 2010?I don't know if the Patriots figured it out or not but bringing in the guy (McDaniel) in to "help" out with the offense smells pretty bad to me. The Patriots did not bring in McDaniel to help out the Patriots offense. They brought him in as a consultant to help the Patriots defense out. Was the move legal? I don't know. But, to bring a coach into the fold in the divisional playoff round that was not on the team previously just does not seem right.
Then why bring him in during the first game of the playoffs and put him in the booth? He hasn't been with the New England offense in a few years either. Everyone knows the deal about this. It wasn't against the rules, but it will be by next season. I can say it's consistent with Bill's behavior, though. The Broncos were running an option offense when McDaniels was fired in 2010?I don't know if the Patriots figured it out or not but bringing in the guy (McDaniel) in to "help" out with the offense smells pretty bad to me. You don't get it, Bob.Plenty of teams have figured this offense out prior to this game.
The Broncos aren't anywhere near married to this offense. The offense they ran was simply their best way to win games THIS season. They'll always keep some of it due to Tebow's dynamic running ability, but as he progresses as a passer, the Broncos will open it up.I was very impressed with Mike McCoy. As Tebow gets more consistent to go along with his many attributes, & as the Broncos gain better personnel, not to mention having a young All-Pro type talent at WR in Demaryius Thomas, this offense is going to get VERY hard to defend. Their offense is going to be much different than what you see now.In short, Denver did what they had to do in 2011. They came a long way & had a fine season. That said, their offense will be much more refined & dangerous in future seasons.

I don't get what people are insinuating with their posts in this thread? somehow the Pats cheated to win this game because hiring McDaniels allowed them to stop the Broncos? This could be the worst post in shark pool history... and that's saying something.I don't know if the Patriots figured it out or not but bringing in the guy (McDaniel) in to "help" out with the offense smells pretty bad to me. There are some people sporting 60-something IQ's in this thread implying such impropriety, yes. This thread is horrible but "recording another team practice is not cheating" is an incorrect statement and the Patriots were fined heavily for it. Players/teams are not fined for false start penalties. Not that any of that had anything to do with last night, which was just a good old drubbing.cheating = trying to winlooking back to spygate?really gettin on bill for being a better coach and thinking ahead of the game?recording anothers team practice is not cheating, its trying to win.False start penalties are cheating if you want to look at it that way.Why not create a holy storm when a cb drags down a wr just to stop him from catching a pass.thats cheating, but because they get a few yards on a flag we forgive.yes some smart a%% comments by myself, but its needed in a horrible thread like this.

Id say ill believe it when I see it, but in all honesty Tim Tebow wont be the Broncos QB for much longer. The Broncos aren't anywhere near married to this offense. They will be able to spread teams wider, and the Pat's scheme of 7 in the box with the ends wide will get gashed by the run when the safeties can't play as tight.
Guess the truth hurts. Why bring in McDaniels? Is anyone going to claim that the Patriots offense was in need of some help? This could be the worst post in shark pool history... and that's saying something.I don't know if the Patriots figured it out or not but bringing in the guy (McDaniel) in to "help" out with the offense smells pretty bad to me. They brought McDaniels in before the Broncos/Steelers game. I don't think it smells nearly as fishy considering they're losing their OC and McDaniels is the perfect fit at OC there. Does anyone really think McDaniels wasn't one of the real options they were considering to replace O'Brien?I don't know if the Patriots figured it out or not but bringing in the guy (McDaniel) in to "help" out with the offense smells pretty bad to me. 1. To snag him before another team hires him?2. To get him a couple games to get a feel for the offense now before their OC leaves for Penn St.?Then why bring him in during the first game of the playoffs and put him in the booth? He hasn't been with the New England offense in a few years either. Everyone knows the deal about this. It wasn't against the rules, but it will be by next season. You do realize that McDaniels has been hired to replace the current offensive coordinator next year, right? Not a fan of the Pats, but this nonsense and the silliness about the quick kick are just over the top.Why bring in McDaniels? Is anyone going to claim that the Patriots offense was in need of some help?
It's clear you're not really the management type, so I'll go ahead and break it down for you. Generally when someone quits a key position at your company, you hire someone to do their job.Guess the truth hurts. Why bring in McDaniels? you guys are a joke..nothing in the rules against hiring McDaniels. People are always jealous of those ahead of the curve. The Patriots are the new Raiders, they cheat.
This.The tears, the delicious tears.
What a high horse you're on. Was the guy who quit still with the team or did he leave? Yeah, no reason for McDaniels to be anywhere near the team this year. Coaches contracts need to e set up that they cannot coach until the end of the season especially if they were on another team during the year. It's clear you're not really the management type, so I'll go ahead and break it down for you. Yep ... What he said.they figured the offence out by scoring 45 points. Same thing they did week 15. They buried the Broncos and the Broncos o doesn't have the ability to come back. If anyone wants to see how a defensive scheme completely stopped the offence, cue KC week 17.But yeah, wonder how much there is to the Pats not winning a Lombardi post Spygate
I know there's a lot of stupid in all these Pats bashing threads, but the Patriots were never accused of, and certainly never fined for filming ay teams practices. When did the RAIDERS cheat? And what do they have to do with the Pats and this thread? The Patriots are the new Raiders, they cheat.

They are drafting too late to get a first round QB. Who are they going to get to compete? Jason Campbell might be one of the few QBs available that may have a resonable price tag. My theory is that Broncos and Brandon Weeden are on a collision course.'Bill said:I agree with you about Tebow. I don't even think Elway wants to go with him next year. No, the joke is when this same situation happened two years ago with the Cowboys, nobody noticed or cared. Now that it's the Pats, people start blubbering like a schoolgirl who got dumped by the star QB two days before prom.
