since there weren't enough options on the poll.

I consider myself a hopeful agnostic although I was raised Lutheran. I am trying to figure out what I believe and in that quest I have been looking at the seperation of the religions. In an effort to seperate the Catholic and Orthodox from the discussion I would like to find out what the differances are in the many Protestant variations. It's clear that without a central church the Protestants have broken up into many, many variations. I actually didn't realize how many until I started this poll.

I'd like to hear about the similarities and differences that make up the Protestant religion.

Reminds me of a time I was riding my bike doing my paper route when I was (more or less) accosted by these 2 folks preaching door to door. They asked if I was a Christian and I said "yeah" and they asked what type and I said "regular" and then took off on my bike.

Btw, I'm a Pre-Lutheran :goodposting:

I attend church at a Bible church that is affiliated with Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches (a rather small but widespead group of similarly inclined believers through out Canada and mainly the midwest US). My specific church had Mennonite origins so it was quasi-anabaptist back in the day. I would say it most closely resembles Evangelical Free churches with maybe a hint of congregationalism.

I actaully feel comfortable in most Christian churches from my upbringing as a Catholic to some pretty hardcore Southern Baptist churches I attended while living in Louisiana. Have to admit super Charismatic churches give me the willies - but that is probably due to comfort levels and what not.

Surprised there is not yet an argument over whether LDS should have been included in the poll.
