The Raiders Offensive Line play will improve this week (1 Viewer)

The two primary factors at play for an improved offensive line:

1. Robert Gallery, the square peg in the round hole, is out for a few weeks. This means that the coaching staff can now shuffle the starters on the line without extreme concern of the boss getting uptight. Gallery is simply not a left tackle, or at least not a fair to decent one, much less good. For the sake of the QB's, I hope they bring him back in a few weeks at guard or primary backup to several line positions (other than left tackle).

2. Can they get any worse? Really, they should only be able to get better. Otherwise they will set a new record for sacks allowed and QB's injured. This is really a tongue-in-cheek observation, but I hope I'm accurate, since I'm a fan.

so the two factors they will get better are:

1. starting offensive lineman out

2. they cant get worse...can they?

:hey: im sold

1. how much experience does slaughter have? how do you think he'll fare against a very aggressive baltimore defense? the ravens will be attacking at every opportunity and angle. this does not bode well, imo...

2. certainly, the o-line will be a point of emphasis for Shell after the last game. it should be better but it has tall order ahead of it. i'm sure they would feel better about it if it were the titans instead of the ravens but it's not.

:goodposting: The O-line got hammered by a good D. They lose a starter and have to "shuffle" the line and they're going to improve against a VERY good D? I'm sold too. Give me The Ravens minus 12

IF Art Shell had a sense of humor  He would go to Porter and say "You are going to play. We win, you get out of your contract, free and clear. We lose, you rot on the bench. Oh, yeah by the way, you are our new QB. Best of luck to you son."

I know how it can get worse....WAYYYY WORSE....It's called HELLO RAY LEWIS AND THE RAVENS.It'll be like that NFL network commercial where those pros are playing the high school kids..

The revenge to get on Porter would be to call slants and short crossing patters against that Ravens defense. :)

I LOVE this idea. :thumbup:J

Go ahead and factor in the more difficult of the coast to coast trips...west coast team traveling back east... that face the Raiders and this could get out of hand and ugly by the second quarter.

Ahem. The Chargers are a VERY good D. You'll understand that by the end of the season.
