Brandon Thorn: Establish The Run - Offensive Line Rankings (1 Viewer)

This guy usually is pretty good at this stuff.

Interesting to see my Eagles ranked #2, even after the Jason Kelce retirement. For those that don't know - the offensive line is very very good, its a mix of high end talent, but the engine that makes it go is Jeff Stoutland, the offensive line coach - that guy that took an Australian dude that never played organized football before in his life and developed him into a Top 5/10 OT in the NFL, also the same guy that helped Jason Kelce develop into what he became (Jason Kelce pre Stoutland - 0 All Pros, Jason Kelce with Stoutland - 5 All Pros, all in his age 30+ seasons). Just a nugget for anyone that thinks the Eagles offensive line takes a "huge step back" bc Kelce retired. I may be biased.

Anyway, here are the rankings, spoiler alert, Detroit is #1, in their own tier (can't argue with that).

Edit: Didn't realize you need a premium description to view the entire list.

Always nice to have additional resources to compare/contrast, so thanks for posting.

I'll add that Matt Bitonti's subscription-content OL stuff here at FBG is pretty good stuff.

When I look at O-lines for my projections, I look at whose line has changed the most. This year I have the following largest changes in O-line talent.

I basically look at PFFs grades from last year and compare to this year's projected rankings.

Baltimore - Consensus seems to be their line got worse. Last year's 3rd ranked line, projected 16th this year.
Cleveland - Ranked 16th last year but they had lots of injuries. Projected 6th this year. There's also a lot of talk about them losing their line coach Callahan, which could make an impact.
Denver - Last year finished 3rd, projected 26th this year. Cap hits mainly the cause for the drop.
LA Chargers - Last year 26th, this year projected 8th. They drafted the best tackle in the draft.
Miami - Last year 17th, this year projected 29th. Cap problems.
Pittsburg - Last year 26th, this year projected 9th, Drafted 2 starters.
