for those that watched the game (wasn't on around here), was it that the ram's offense was so bad, the panther's defense was so good, or some combination of the two that caused the shutout?

The Rams OL is putrid. Losing Pace for the season was huge. The entire offense is going to struggle.

Rams O-line was a complete mess. They gave up 7 sacks. Peppers and Rucker created havoc all day and Bulger never got comfortable. I believe they only attempted to run the ball with SJax 7 times.

They were putrid today but I don't think they will continue to be that bad for the rest of the year(partly b/c it's not possible). I think they were just overmatched by CAR D. Bulger rarely had time in the pocket. I'll wait til after the SF game before I give up on them.

Combination of both. The Panther's D played very well, and the Ram's O line played pretty bad. It didn't help that the Rams receivers dropped some passes that were right to them. Bulger was rushed repeatedly during the game. The Rams should have ran the ball more.

Carolina's defense is no picnic.

Rucker had 2 sacks, Damone Lewis 1.5 sacks, Thomas Davis 1.5 sacks, Cris Draft 1.5 sacks, Kindell Moorehead .5 sack. This does not include how many times they hit Bulger, pressured and hurried him.

Steven Jackson 7 carries 27 yards. They should have tried to run the ball more than 8 times. But Carolina was eating the clock.

This is how much losing a player like Pace matters.

As a PSL Holder (season tickets) to the Rams; this team just mailed it in. When has anyone seen Holt and Bruce drop passes ? Sure, the OL is a mess and the team is missing Pace there. But, what team does not has the same situratiion. this team may win one more game. which one; Cards, 9ers, maybe da Bears...........!

Where is Mad Mike.......... Going to be the next coach in the valley of the Sun... Mike you are missed.

You may be right. I was really surprised to see Holt laughing and smiling after he fumbled. He seemed to be joking with the CAR players while it was under review and didn't get upset when the decision went against him.
