The Real Life of John Clayton (1 Viewer)

How out of left field was that... I saw it earlier today and I could not stop laughing. :lmao:

It may have something to do with John Clayton being one of the most boring people on TV

top 5 commercial I have ever seen... ESPN hit an absolute grand slam with this one

ETA: can we all agree that this is a Superbowl worthy commercial?

bad #### Clayton haha

why does he always end his ESPN segments with his mouth open? like you think it switched to a camera still with his mouth open, but then he blinks.

He's trying not to do the White Man's Overbite like he's doing at the end of the commercial. That's the subtle cherry on top of the spot. Only way it could be better (for me) was if he was grunged up since he came to ESPN from Seattle, or be a good old fashioned punker. Freaking brilliant though.

I hate ESPN, but they've always had some great commercials.

Seconded. Except I don't hate ESPN. I'm not sure what you're expecting but their coverage on the world of spots is fantastic. And the commercials are really funny.
I think they tend to push what they cover more than they should and ignore stuff they don't. Example: almost every one of their "top 10 plays of the day" features soccer highlites even though most of their base audience never watches soccer.

Unless you don't consider hockey to be a sport, ESPN's coverage is hardly fantastic.
This is what I meant by my post. I'd rather watch hockey highlights over soccer but guess which one espn has a contract for?
