The Rizzlers Week 5 Multiple TD thread (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
Thought I'd do a repeat of last years Multiple TD thread, in which I did remotely well. I ended last season on a bit of a slump, but I like to play this game regardless.

I do this every week, to gauge what players/situations have a high probability of generating multiple TDs in a given week. Some obvious, some not, some just good ol' gut feelings. (QBs always exempt from the list)

RB

Ryan Mathews - 0 tds

Arian Foster - 0 tds

Ladainian Tomlinson - 0 tds

WR

Wes Welker - 0 tds

Hakeem Nicks - 1 td

Jeremy Maclin - 1 td

Ballsy Callsy of the week - Julio Jones - 0 tds

TE

Jimmy Graham - 0 tds

Jermichael Finley - 0 tds

Well, enjoy!!!!

Feel free to discuss, disseminate, ridicule, agree...

***Oh, and as an added bonus, Calvin Johnson is going to score 9 touchdowns, including one defensive and one in a bears jersey on a hail mary from Orton.

I'd say Tomlinson is a lot ballsier of a call than Julio Jones. Totally agree on Foster, and I agree that Philly will have a huge game through the air, though I'm not sure maclin would be my choice there.

I hope you are right about Finley, he's been kind of a disappointment most of the year.

3 Guys I'd like to add are:

Jahvid Best-Chicago has had a lot of passing game issues this year, the Bears will be preoccupied with Stafford/Calvin, though they probably won't stop them either.

Mike Williams-He's due for a breakout, and San Fran has been pretty lousy against the pass. vick had over 400 yards, but let's not forget that Dalton tore them up as well. I can't believe they'll stop Freeman in this battle of 3-1 teams.

Sleeper pick

Jonathan Stewart-Finally gets in the endzone in what I expect to be the highest scoring game of week 5. I think he'll run and catch one this week, just like Best.

DESEAN JACKSON

This is the week folks...160/2

JORDY NELSON

Single coverage running all through the ATL secondary....108/2

Good thread.

My league is TD-heavy with only one 1 point per 25 combined yards and no PPR so this type of thread is very useful to me.

Someone has to successfully run the rock and take those checkdowns... Rex Ryan is pissed. And there's one guy who, albeit is in his twilight years, can do what needs to be done in a game like this. Greene is basically done for.LT looks primed for some big pts this week.

I know it is kind of obvious, but shouldn't Megatron be way on the top of this list.
He's not putting in 2 this week.
Quadruple-team him? He is the most uncoverable redzone target in history.
He's ridiculous, there's no doubt. But betting on CJ to get a deuce is like taking candy from a baby. Regardless, it's a divisional game, which I expect to be played tightly. CHI isn't fabulous vs the pass, so the likelihood he gets a deuce is def a possibility. But if there was a week for me to bet against it, Id say this one will be close.

CJ has some impressive #s in his career vs Chi.

VJax's availability helps Mathews either way.

Uh, not sure I understand.

Has Revis ever, in his career let someone score twice on him? From what i've read he will be shadowing Welker all over the field.

Good thread.

Also, if Brandon Jacobs can't go, it seems hard for me to believe that Ahmad Bradshaw won't find paydirt atleast twice.

Cj will break Chris carter's consecutive games with multiple TDs if he gets 2 or more this week. If Stafford winds up dead at some point in this game, his corpse will continue chucking the ball to ensure that this happens. Mark it down.

the only chance welker has of getting 2 tds if is revis is on someone else. no one puts 2 tds on revis. this wes welker spoogefest these days is FF ownerism run amok.
This. IIRC, Revis is usually not on Welker, but if he is, Welker won't have a big day, much less score two touchdowns.

Bumped and Edited

--- Not ashamed to show my failure for this week. Actually, the worst week I've had in recent memory. Beyond bad really.. Some of the guys put up monster numbers, just never found the endzone.. oh well.

TBH, this season has been a major dropoff from the previous seasons Ive been doing this.

Ah well, I'll take my beatings... predicting 2tds is a ballsy thing, and a comes w/ a high liklihood to fail. But I love it, and do well using it when creating my lineups.

Week 6, on its way!!!!

ps: TOLD YA CALVIN WOULDN'T CATCH 2!!!! That was my best call of the week LOL
