The Rolling Stones (1 Viewer)

I went Tuesday, and going again tomorrow. I had the $85's but unless I pulled pit I knew I was going to be sitting in the 3rd deck. Prices tanked day of show and got 3rd row floor next to cat walk for $350. Still a crap load for a show, but they were great seats and we had a blast. As expected, my $85 draw was 300 level, side stage. Not terrible, but I'm glad I had a back-up plan. I'll probably stick with my $85's for Friday and just go with the flow. My wife isn't going so I may have an extra $85.

I've heard that at least 1 ticket person has been wandering around inside the arena at some of the recent shows randomly upgrading fans who are just walking around before the show. Not sure if this person is with the Stones or with the arena ticket office, but the upgrade seems to be a pit wristband for free. So it might be worth wandering around the upper concourse of the arena looking for a guy with wristbands and asking for an upgrade.

How did you buy the $350 tix?

Just pulled the trigger....club level 218 for $350 each. I'm assuming they're not counterfeit of course.

Killed it.
Indeed they did...that was a great show

THANK YOU SHERYL CROW!!! She lit a fire under Keith during All Down the Line - they started playing differently after that

Mick Taylor was smoking last night - Can You Hear Me Knocking - wow - love the psychedelic Stones - Bobby Keys had a beautiful turn on this and then he and Mick Taylor really hooked up.

During Midnight Rambler he got on his knees and they just drove a train right through the United Center

Crowd was awesome last night - a real buzz - and Mick and Keith really fed off of it

That's good to hear. I can't think of a much less interesting guest on paper than Sheryl Crow, but I can definitely imagine how her mere presence on stage could fire up the dirty old man.

Yea...Emotional Rescue was sweet. I would have thought they would play more Exile, with Taylor and Keys both there. We got Tumbling Dice, all Down the Line, and Shine a Light? I loved every song on the list though....except 1 of the 2 new ones.

What time did they go on? How was the scalping scene last night? Thinking of going to the next show...

That's right....they played Rocks Off on Monday...would have been better.

For the money they're charging, they should put a 1/4 gram of smack and a flask of Jack on everybody's chair and play Exile start to finish.

Looking thru my videos....forgot they played Can't You Hear Me Knocking.....with Taylor....Sticky Fingers, but f-Ing rocked.

Most definitely. Me and the Mrs went down from Minneapolis for Friday's show and we thought it was great. Jagger has to have done a deal with the devil. He's 70 shortly and as fit as a 35 year old. Just ridiculous.

Worth every penny.

Saw them in Boston last night (June 12). They sucked so bad I'm going back for Friday's show to see if they get any better.

I went to both Boston shows. Wednesday (6/12) was better than Friday's, but I would have gone to a third show if they had one here!

####### incredible. First night in Philly rocked!!!!!!
Just curious - what did Brad Paisley play on? I am assuming they did not do "Accidental Racist"
Dead Flowers. He did a good job, including a nice guitar solo.
That sounds great. I think we got the worst of the guest spots from what I've heard with Sheryl Crow.
Gary Clark Jr (6-12 in Boston) was incredible. Played an extended version of "Going Down" that far exceeded any expectations. And that's the main reason I said Wednesday's Boston show was better than Friday's.

Public service announcement: For the next month - until mid-August - you can download the July 5, 2013 Hyde Park concert from iTunes for $9.99. 13 tracks. After that, it's gone.

Rumors beginning to circulate of a 14 date NA run, including Indianapolis Motor Speedway July 4th (GD leftovers event same time in Chicago) and Red Rocks. Red Rocks would be an easy ticket.

Ooh... If they do Red Rocks I'm effing going.
What's your cost forecast.....$500 to get in the door?

I wouldn't pay to see 70-year old rockers, but at least Jagger can still move around and sing, unlike the ghost of Paul McCartney.

Apples and oranges. Mick's songs have never been, and will never be, in the same class in terms of vocal difficulty.

Comparing a 70 year old Mick Jagger singing Satisfaction to a 70 year old McCartney singing Maybe I'm Amazed isn't close to a apples to apples comparison...

Mick couldn't have sung Maybe I'm Amazed at any age...
