Yeah, so I listen to poker podcasts and stuff. I paid taxes on my "gambling profits" last year. I'm just a smart guy in a small pond, under the radar ... but it's not like anyone is ever gonna be fooled, as I ask the dealer stuff like, "So,,is the kid doing better in school." while I am doing thumb flips... all the dealers know my name ... and they are good about that, where I play. Dealers, floor people remember the customers, good sign. Old school customer service, says it's a classy joint.

So, that's why I do the chip tricks and stuff. There is zero chance I will be recognized as some rando, and get to utilize that table image of being clueless,,because everyone in the room knows me. So, I just play the opposite side of the coin. Almsot literally.

The "thumb flip" made famous by the villain in thst James Bond movie is actually pretty easy after you practice it.

I made my own move, based on that ... and other thumb flip tricks. It goes like this:

I have 2 red chips and one blue, like an ice cream sandwitch, all the same size. I can hold these chips in one hand, pull the middle chip out with my thumb, and then place it back in front or behind the 2 other chips.

I just had a deja vu.

That was a trip. Total deja vu, like I had talked about thus here once before.

Anyway, in practicng these moves, the hardest thing is to pull out the middle chip, and if you just I nda pull it up,,drop it down, pull it up,,drop it down ... like for practice .... i call it scissors. Makes a sound like scissors.

I made 5 figures last year playing poker,,but the truth is, like they say in Rounders, it becomes a job, and so you may lose your love of the game when you are really grinding.

This year, started bad and right now I am about even. Variance, bad luck, missed shots, whatever you want to call it. But the year isn't over yet. Seems like it has been a lot of work though, just to be even. Way it goes.
