This is the correct answer.
Don't make the rookie mistake of just making a small area of white out on your monitor to hide the star. If you do that and scroll, that sucker will just appear again further up or down the screen. Make a complete white out stripe from top to bottom which will completely block that star. It'll take a ruler, a T-square, and masking tape. It's what the pros do. If this seems above your ability level take it to a local computer repair shop or FBG in your area.
Alternates:
A. Tilt head to right until you no longer see the star. Hold that position for 17 weeks.
B. If alternate A produces stiffness, make no more posts and the problem will disappear over time.

Not really. I tried it with my post in this thread and deleting it removed the star.
