The worst pick you have seen so far (1 Viewer)

Paranoid owner in one of my leagues, always HAS to have his stud's backup at any cost. Took Antonio Pittman in the 8th round. Plenty of solid options left, biggest :ptts: I've seen in quite some time.

The other Adrian Peterson went at 3.06 in a money yahoo league :ptts:

This is not a joke this was for real....

In the 7th ROUND of a 10 team ppr draft (150.00 entry fee so not a free league!)

A guy took..... ROY HALL wr for indy... @! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

Did the first 8 rounds of a draft for a buddy of mine with some of his hometown friends... 14 team league, only 4 points per passing TD, three QBs went before Brady in the first round - Peyton went second, Brees fifth, and DNabb eighth, before Brady finally went ninth. I had the first pick and took LT and needless to say there was some great value waiting for me at the 2/3 turn.

Of my own picks, I reached significantly for Ray Rice by taking him in the 3rd round in a two man keeper league (so equivalent of fifth round). But my two keepers were fairly weak and I didn't really think my team would be incredibly competitive this season, wanted to ensure that I got Rice as I think he'll be a fantastic keeper going into next season.

10 team redraft league: Mendenhall went 2.1. Nate Kaeding went 4.10 Two different teams. The guy who took Kaeding drafted him in the 4th round last year too and cut him mid year (we asked him if they went to college or something together...they didnt).

12 team league - starting roster spots below in my sig:Matt Leinart 4th roundEli Manning 2nd round
The team in your sig can't possibly be real. A 12 team redraft? Were the other teams picking arena football players?
 I wouldn't even want to play in that league. that doesn't make you look skilled.. itmakes you look like you snuck into your 6yo son's FF league. What's the point?

MB3 went for $69 in a league I was in with a $250 budget. I was leading the bid for him at $25 and the other owner yelled out $69. LT went for $52.

16 team redraft

1.11 Braylon Edwards

1.12 Ryan Grant

Two head scratchers back to back. Two homers I might add as well.

In one draft, 10 team no PPR.

Wes Welker at 2.7 and the #4 WR (Brandon Marshall was the # 3 WR at 2.5!)

Matt Schaub at 4.7 and the #5 QB (Manning went 1.6!)

Gates went 3.5

Housh and Colston slipped to the middle of the 4th round, Holt at the end of the 4th, Burress, Boldin and Graham to the 5th.

I got Reggie Bush at 3.10, Thomas Jones at 7.10, Hines Ward at 9.10, Chris Perry at 11.10

Somebody got Ricky Williams at 11.4. Lee Evans lasted till 11.7, DeAngelo Williams went 11.9, Roddy White until 10.8

In a money league draft, 10 team, no PPR Brandon Jacobs went 1.7 and the same guy took Maroney at 2.4. Eli Manning went 4.10, Donald Driver 5.8.

I got Mendenhall at 15.3, Ricky Williams at 13.3, LenDale White at 8.8, Thomas Jones at 6.8, Michael Turner at 4.8 and TO at 2.8

So what's the over/under on this thread being bumped back after the season and these guppy moves turn into "shark" plays?

I had an auction draft ($150 cap) that was going pretty good. A couple players went for a bit more than normal but also some for a bit less. Peyton Manning went for $26, I got Donovan McNabb for $18 (Cha-ching!) and then.. out of no where a bidding war started on a QB. He's not a bad QB although the bidding got out of control, both players were dead set on winning him for their roster.

Marc Bulger went for $38.

Laughter, peeing of the pants, and questions of the winners manhood ensued.

Fred Taylor with Pick 3.01 in a 10-teamer (team in sig). Then the same guy took Marvin Harisson with 5.10. He put the cherry on top taking Fargas with pick 7.10.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that the Travis Henry in round 5 pick will turn out to be a losing proposition by the end of the year too.

Ben Watson taken as the 5th TE off the board behind Witten, Gates, Gonzo, and Winslow Jr. I laughed in his face and just shook my head at him. "What? What's wrong with Watson?" "Nothing...if you took him after another 10-11 tight ends are taken."

Fred Taylor in first pick in 4th round of a ten teamer. RB's who went after- Lendale White, WIllie Parker, Michael Turner, Maroney, Thomas Jones, Selvin Young Brandon Jacobs, Edge, Earnest Graham, Matt Forte. Here is his draft, after round three he drafted from the gut rather than value.

Peyton

Moss

Mcgahee

Fred Taylor

Ronnie Brown

Lee Evans

Ahman Green

Cooley

Kevin Curtis

Minnesota D

Isaac Bruce

Philip Rivers

Phil Dawson

John Carlson

new player in our money league that was a cousin of another owners.....who SWORE the person had played FF football before....

1.12 Jason Witten (yes a cowboy fan)

2.01 Vince Young (3rd QB taken ahead of Manning)

A dead silence went over the entire room. I mean come on....you have a list in front of you that shows Young at the bottom. Not to mention that at least 3 or 4 times they called out players that have been taken.

they called out Calvin Johnson's name in the 12th round thinking he was still there.

through round 8 with the bold funny picks:

3.12 Jamal Lewis

4.01 Wes Welker

5.12 Amani Toomer Gheee!

6.01 S.Young

7.12 Devin Hester Gheee!

8.01 NYG defense Gheee!

I saw Rudi Johnson go pick 5.02 last Sunday.
Rudi went at 3.06 in our league. Couldn't believe it.We had a couple of other doozies too. Guys like James Hardy in the 8th round, when much greater value was there.

1.12 Eli Manning

2.1 Vincent Jackson

I thought he was just being an ### at first, but his team didnt turn out terrible, all things considered

Eli

TJones, Selvin, Ronnie B, Rudi, Kenny Watson, Deuce

Marshall, SSmith, Santana, VJax, Walter, Bryant Johnson, Booker

Olsen

Like I said, considering he pick about 5 players more valuable than his first 2 picks...not too shabby...hahahah
