Wong is coming back from serious knee injury...specualtion floating around Texans messages boards is that it is up in the air as to whether he will be ready for the start of the regular season.

If back though, I would bet on him playing the strongside.

SLB: Wong or Peek

MLB: Cowart

WLB: Greenwood

Weaver and Babin should be the ends.
Peek and Babin are being looked at the Weakside DE. Again, rumor has it that the new staff likes Peek potential as a pure rusher versus dropping him in coverage.

thanks for the insight!!!!

Wong will be 30 on 5/23 so his career doesn't have much more of a shelf life! I really hope he can get on the field this year as either WLB or MLB

Texans | K. Wong not expected to be ready for the start of the season

Sat, 8 Apr 2006 13:05:47 -0700

Megan Manfull, writing for the Sporting News, reports Houston Texans MLB Kailee Wong (knee) has been putting in long hours in rehabilitation and in the weight room, determined to be healthy by the start of the season, but by all accounts, that won't happen. Wong likely will miss 5-8 weeks of the season. If newly signed LB Sam Cowart plays well while Wong is sidelined, Wong may move to outside linebacker

Cut bait now!
