TEN - WR Williams Impressing Titans

Source: Paul Kuharsky, The Tennessean

After somewhat of a lost rookie season, WR Paul Williams is ready to be a part of the Titans plans on offense. He has worked hard and coaches are taking notice. "His last four days have been tremendous. He's really doing well," OC Mike Heimerdinger said. Williams is battling WRs Chris Davis and Mike Williams for a roster spot.

This is becoming a pattern here. And it's the reason you guys pay attention to Football in May. Mike Williams is definitely showing some things he hasn't shown in the past. Now he's got a long ways to go still before he becomes the player we all thought he could be coming out of USC but this is a really good sign. At this point, just keep him on the radar. If he's still getting these rave reviews in training camp, Williams could be a huge value.

It's tough trying to figure out which Williams to grab to fill that last roster position. I'm going with Paul for now.

The news was referring to Paul. Joe sent an email today correcting the mistake. Nothing to see here.

Maybe they'll sign Serena and Venus too. They have pretty good hand-eye coordination. :lmao:

(Just so this isn't a totally worthless waste of your time, I'll add that I'm still a believer that Roydell will start along with Gage this year. The ankle is pretty iffy right now so keep monitoring it, but if it comes along as it should, I see him doing pretty well. He was putting up nice numbers the last quarter of the season last year.)

(KFFL) The Associated Press reports Tennessee Titans WR Mike Williams has lost 30 pounds since last season. Head coach Jeff Fisher told Williams to lose the weight at the end of last season and Williams has responded, showing up 30 pounds lighter to the team's offseason workouts and looking faster on the field.

The Tennessean quoted Paul Williams as saying,

"This year it's kind of do-or-die," he said. "Last year I kind of got humbled a little bit. I thought I was better than I really was and I didn't get on the field. This year I've got to swallow my pride and work hard like everybody else and hopefully shine."
Is this a tell-tale that he's not very good? or is he just saying the right things during an interview?

I think one of the Williams, if not both, plays some significant time in 08.McCareins having the edge of knowing the offense will be gone soon. Roydell is still recoverring

Well, if Chris Henry gets clearance from the commish they can bring him in at WR to ease up on the confusion in Tennessee.
