Meh. I go to movies to be entertained, not be depressed. DDL is great, but still, Meh.
Spotlight, The Big Short, The Post, Margin Call, Moneyball, and No Country are some of the movies
I've watched up to 5-6 times with no desire to see TWWB a third.
A movie about the coverup of child molesting priests is not depressing, but TWWB is? It's not like No Country is a cheery movie either.

Most of those movies are pretty grim

Agree, I thought it was an odd list to present as movies to not be depressed by.

People bringing up No Country for Old Men here...Interestingly, both NCFOM and There Will Be Blood were filmed in the same small Texas town, just miles apart and at the exact same time. When Paul Thomas Anderson was testing out the oil rig explosion, the smoke from the test drifted over to the NCFOM set and forced them to shut down for the day. Crazy to think that Anton Chigurh and Daniel Plainview were doing their thing at the same time just down the road from each other.

That would have been an awesome sequel where they both time travel and meet up for an epic duel.
