There's a lot of good FA's available- who to pick? (1 Viewer)

At the last minute because of not knowing if M Peterson was going to play, I dropped him and added Morrisson.

Now I'm looking at the ww again and lots of good choices available:

M Peterson (if he clears waivers)

A Davis

L Briggs

S Merriman

Our roster is such that no one is able to carry idp reserves so it's kind of a week by week thing. Anyone stand out for week #2 from above? I'm personally leaning towards either Andra Davis or back to Peterson.

What do you think?

scoring system? If sacks are worth 3X tackles or more, Merriman. Otherwise, Peterson or Davis.
yes, tackles= 1pt, sacks= 3ptall forced fumbles or fumble recoveries, interceptions also 3ptall def td's= 9ptspass defense= 1ptsafety, blocked kick=6pt

Peterson looked like the 2005 Peterson. Active in coverage, used on the blitz frequently, and willing to fill hard in run support. He's probably the best option. But Merriman was impressive in both coverage and run support last night, too, which may get overlooked due to the disparity in pass rush/run support opportunities he had. He won't get to face such silly gameplanning and blocking schemes in the future but will still have nice value if he continues to play the run as he did last night.

I lean toward Peterson in your system, but Merriman is looking more and more like he could be mentioned in the same breath as Bruce Smith as guys in crappy fantasy positions for standard scoring that became HOF in IDP boxscores anyway.
