These Things I'm convinced of (1 Viewer)

Laurence Maroney will never be a star in this league.

The Bengals are officially worse than the Rams and Chiefs.

Andre Johnson is the best receiver going forward.

Joseph Addai is the ultimate buy low.

Derek Anderson is still the starting quarterback for quite a while.

Kansas City slacked in regards to trades. There's no way they shouldn't have gotten some value out of Gonzalez/Johnson

San Diego is gonna be just fine.

Dallas now has easily the most unstoppable offense in the league.

The Bears are not a playoff caliber team.

Ryan to White is going to be what Palmer to Johnson should have been.

Steve Smith (car) forgot where the endzone is.

The Cardinals are definitely headed back to the playoffs for the first time since...

Did I mention the Rams are no longer the worst team in the league?

Frank Gore is easily a top 5 back.

What are you guys convinced of through 6 weeks?

Reggie Bush IS having a breakout year.

So is Marion Barber.

Matt Ryan is the next Peyton Manning.

TE is a tough position to excel at.

On any given Sunday....

Fixed. Seriously, isn't Drew Brees getting Colston/Shockey back better than an injured Romo getting R. Williams?

Probably not.

The Bengals are officially worse than the Rams and Chiefs.

Without Palmer they are near helpless.

Andre Johnson is the best receiver going forward.

Fitzgerald is on pace for his third 1400+ yard 10+ TD season in 5 years. I love AJ, have him on 4 teams but Fitz is younger and better.

Joseph Addai is the ultimate buy low.

Maybe. He'll be better than he was for the first half of the season when he comes back.

Derek Anderson is still the starting quarterback for quite a while.

Duh

Kansas City slacked in regards to trades. There's no way they shouldn't have gotten some value out of Gonzalez/Johnson

Gonzo I agree, LJ has a huge contract, getting something significant for him is hard with the cap.

San Diego is gonna be just fine.

on offense

Dallas now has easily the most unstoppable offense in the league.

Depends on Romo

The Bears are not a playoff caliber team.

Plenty of playoff teams go 9-7 and have some stinkers mixed in. They have a good enough defense and a decently productive offense. Hester could still win them a game or two down the stretch in the return game.

Ryan to White is going to be what Palmer to Johnson should have been.

could be

Steve Smith (car) forgot where the endzone is.

Hell score, Delhomme looks like the problem not smith.

The Cardinals are definitely headed back to the playoffs for the first time since...

they should be.

Yep. Thought so coming into the year.

Steve Smith (car) forgot where the endzone is.Hell score, Delhomme looks like the problem not smith.
Do you watch the games? Smith got over 100 yards receiving against the Bucs last weekend, but he also let two passes by Delhomme bounce off his chest for interceptions, and he dropped a deep pass by Delhomme which would have been a TD. His lack of a TD last weekend was not Delhomme's fault.

I like AJ as much as the next guy, but this is what he does. He has a few awesome weeks than either disappears or gets injured. He is pre-seaon top 10 every year and never finishes there. Maybe this will finally be the year.

Aaron Rodgers is the real deal, I did not think he could handel the pressure he would face this year, being picked over Farve. He's been terrific.

Atlanta will win the NFC South this year

Kurt Warner, right now, is leading the MVP race

Matt Millan WAS the problem

Pacman IS an idiot

My Jets WILL make the playoffs

Indy's demise was greatly exaggerated

Cleveland played the best game you'll see them play all year

The Bucs are sadly being overlooked again. They could easily be 7-2 going into their bye week, and the defense is drawing comparisons to the '99 and '02 teams.

Just because he likes the Falcons better than the Bucs this year does not mean he is overlooking the Bucs. All the teams in the NFC South right now are .500 or better. That division is very competitive this year and wide open.

Addai is the first round bust of 2008 FF drafts

Avery will be the next star WR in the NFL

Rogers will not make it through the season without missing some time due injuries(knocking on the door now)

Roy Willams will be exposed in Dallas as a overrated WR with poor hands and work habits

Reggie Bush is really good

Westbrook is the ultimate buy low player now

Turner is the ultimate sell high player now

Pittman will the 2nd half stud RB of 2008

Receivers moving teams midseason, much less in the off season, rarely return immediate results. He may very well prove to be poor-handed and lazy, but the jury shouldn't adjourn too quickly.

What ever happened to the theory (which was supposedly fact by many) that 30+ RBs (Pittman/Dunn) slow down?

Just curious what makes you say this. First, it's not like the Bears were hyped at all going into this year by anyone. And they're 3-3, but I think they're certainly better than that record. The Bears have been in every game this year with some very good teams: TB, IND, ATL, DET, CAR, PHI. This Bears team can be better in some ways than the team that went to the super bowl two years ago. Just not sure why you call them out.

Another thing - both of their starting corners Vasher and Tillman were out this game against Atlanta (Tillman left in the middle of the game). If you watched that final throw by Ryan, the rookie cornerback (Hamilton?) choked and bit on the underneath route and Mike Brown had to cover for him and make the tackle deep down the field. Matt Ryan played well, but let's not give him a bust in Canton just yet...this was not the ferocious Bears D that people talk about considering Tillman and Vasher were out. One thing I was impressed about the Bears was Orton making the plays and throwing that touchdown to Rashied Davis with 11 seconds left. Also all of the games that they've lost have come down to the wire and have been extremely close. They still are tied for the lead in the central. How can you say they're not a playoff caliber team?

TO and Roy Williams >> Colston and Moore/Henerson/Meachum/whoeverWitten >>>> Shockey

Barber>>Bush

Brees>Romo

I still think when everyone is healthy the Cowboys offense will be better. Brees is clearly a better passer and smarter QB than Romo, especially with pocket presence and ball protection, but Romo has way better weapons around him. By Week 13 the Cowboys offense will be unstoppable. If their defense improves just a wee bit, they'll STILL be the team to beat in the NFC.

The Super Bowl will show the AFC South vs. NFC East

just don't ask me which teams.

This year shows parity is real.

 Though I am a Bears fan, so I am sure my opinion is not relevant here, but the Bears have not only been in every game but could easily be 6-0 right now. Perhaps that is what makes them a non-playoff caluber team? As I see it they have lost 3 games by a grand total of 8 points and all of those teams are sitting at 4-2 right now. Does not seem bad to me.I actually feel really good about their chances right now. Far better than I did at the beginning of the season, especially given that neither the Packers or the Vikings appear to be great teams by any means.

Barber> Bush, but Bush is > as a receiver. The gap between Witten and a healthy Shockey isn't a big as you imply.

Hmm. Through week 6 (which had the Cowboys healthy, but the Saints receivers injured), the Cowboys are third in total yards and third in points per game in the league. The Saints are second in total yards and fourth in PPG (the 'Boys have an extra field goal). I think any fair and balanced view would think of these two as essentially equal at this point. Now (the OP's point) the Cowboys add Roy Williams. However, Romo is hurt (full extent unknown) and Felix Jones is hurt (out a few weeks). A big plus, but a couple of subtractions as well.

New Orleans gets back their two best receviers - two big pluses.

I'm not saying that the Cowboys don't have a great offense, or a lot of great players. I'm saying that they have essentially been equally productive so far, and the changes upcoming seem to favor New Orleans more than Dallas.

You cant compare parts of an offense to determine which is better. The way an offense performs has more to do with the scheme and how the personnel perform together as a unit than it does on how good each seperate part is.I know that if I was a defensive coordinator I would be more worried about New Orleans than Dallas. Not by a lot, but I am definitely more worried about New Orleans.
