Things you use every day that never break (1 Viewer)

I have never had a refrigerator go bad...ever.
And not a week after this jinx of a thread started... my 8 y.o. refrigerator just broke! No cooling power... all my ice started melting and the milk was approaching room tempBAH

I've had a pair of Klipsch kg3 speakers since 1990 that I listen to almost daily.I have my grandfather's office chair at my desk and I put on my shoes sitting in a heavy oak chair that from a turn of the century railroad office.

good one. I still have the first set of Bose and another set of JBL speakers i bought 10 and 15 years ago respectively. The JBL's are used daily, the Bose's a few times a week... have held up remarkably.

I just realized that I have been using the same piece of facial soap twice a day for over a year and there's still half of it left. Is this normal?

Looking like my to go travel coffee mug may finally be nearing its time. The lid hasn't sealed well for a few years, but functioned fine until recently. Have noticed occasional leaks when I take sips, which obviously defeats most of the purpose to having a to go coffee mug. It's on year 12, and looking like a new one will be in place before year 13 :sadbanana:

Have a set of infinity speakers that I've owned since 1987. Don't use them too often anymore, but they still work. Replaced a midrange about 10 years ago.

My guns I guess. I have a .22 rifle that's about 25 years old. I have a 30-30 Winchester that was my grandma's and is 60+ years old. It's been "mine" since I was very young because my grandma died before I was born. I have an SKS that I've had for 20 years.:cringeforgunhaters:

I have some t-shirts that I work out in regularly that are ten plus years old. That's about it really. I destroy things.

Don't think I have anything left from my HS years, but my Freshman year of college (Fall of 1996), I bought a 32" TV that is still our main TV in the living room and an alarm clock that I still use from time to time.

The sub zero weather tried to get the best of my 96' Cierra SL on Monday. It sounded a little strange when starting, and after 30 minutes of driving the power steering started to make a humming/screeching sound when I would make big turns at low velocity. I decided to actually leave it in the garage that night, and it's been great ever since. 96 Cierra SL - 1 Sub zero weather - 0Suck it sub zero weather. It's just one battle and sub zero weather doesn't seem to be deterred and won't relent. But I'm confident my Cierra can take anything it dishes out.

 Did you expect expensive speakers to not work 10 years after buying them?

You use your 30-30 every day?

I have a pair of Bose 'Video Roommate' speakers that I bought in 1988 to go with me to college. I picked them out because there weren't too many self powered speakers back then, and these came with a volume control.

I use them today as speakers for my TV, since they are still better than the standard speakers. Eventually I will upgrade to a sound bar, but these are fine for now.
