Buddy of mine picked up a urinal at a salvage yard-type place for cheap. Put it up in a corner of his basement. The flushing mechanism is fairly pricey, so he just put in a simple ball valve. Works great and gets a lot of use.

He just put a urinal in the corner?

He just put a urinal in the corner?

basically. it's an older house with unfinished basement. We had previously framed out and enclosed an area with a large ss commercial sink, countertops, shelving and etc. for fermenting home brew and cleaning the equipment. The sink drains to a grey water pump outside the room that ties into the sanitary line with a check valve. Framed out a small section perpendicular to the exterior of the room to hang the urinal so that you're more or less standing in a corner of the basement looking in from an exterior wall. Ran the drain from urinal into the pump and viola.
