Seriously....when was the last time he was healthy? It's been years.....Do people really think that Stinky Pete will feed Rawls the ball this week. This guy is top 10 material when healthy. I'm considering starting him over Hyde.
He's only been in the NFL 2 years.Seriously....when was the last time he was healthy? It's been years.....
A healthy Thomas Rawls>Chris Carson. And right now, Rawls is healthy. The coaching staff loves the guy as Beast 2.0. Look up the tecent Tom Cable quote about "violence"
I think the the people banging the drum for Chris Carson are just really wishful and still in preseason August dreaming mode.
Now if Rawls gets hurt again, sure, diff story. But for now the cowching staff is dying to feed Rawls and establish the run. Maybe Carson mixes in from time to time.
Brain fart. I meant their DC Saleh. The General said:Ex-Seattle guy?
Sounds like wishful thinking from a rawls owner. He's in a committee no matter what happens and on top of that he can't stay healthy. I have him in one league and I'm hoping he has a good day so i can sell him for something. Carson will be the guy at some point, it's just a matter of when.A healthy Thomas Rawls>Chris Carson. I've heard so much inconsistent info from Seattle in the last couple years that I don't know what we can believe.A healthy Thomas Rawls>Chris Carson. And right now, Rawls is healthy. The coaching staff loves the guy as Beast 2.0. Look up the tecent Tom Cable quote about "violence"

Carson too.I don't claim to be an expert, but I've watched most of Rawls pro snaps, and he's an absolute beast when healthy. Absolutley passes the eye test.
I also have Carson and Rawls was dropped in my league. I'm bidding 15% but I don't need help at the moment. He was just dropped in my auction league. Worth a pickup if I have Carson? How much would you spend on him if so?
This is a great point actually.I've heard so much inconsistent info from Seattle in the last couple years that I don't know what we can believe.
Me too.....long time before Rawls though. Dan Majerle days.I will be monitoring this game to see how much Pete utilizes Carson per his quotes and how much of a #1 RB Rawls appears to be when healthy. Will Rawls be eased in or heavy workload? Or will the SEA offense stall again and kick a bunch of FG's? Their D is so strong that they don't need to score a bunch of points. That scares me more than anything.
And to think I am a CMU Chippewas
Well said. Using past injuries to predict future injuries is dicey.![]()
IMO Rawls is a legit NFL and fantasy RB1 when fully healthy. I realize people will immediately post that he is never healthy, but IMO that is a limited perspective. He has had a few injuries that have obviously limited his productivity at times, but IMO it is more about bad luck than anything that is systemic or predictive.
Eh, yeah, most have been playing for ~decade. It's not ffpc level competition but it's a big money league.Experienced players?
Yeah I would've expected some bids too. WeirdEh, yeah, most have been playing for ~decade. It's not ffpc level competition but it's a big money league.
No one wants anything to do with SEA RBs in that league apparently. I had extra incentive to go after Rawls since I already owned Carson but I expected someone else to at least bid.![]()
You might regret that one lol. I think Marvin jones is being undervalued. Tough matchup last week and this week probably. He's being shadowed by opposing teams too corners. But what does that tell you?Dropped Marvin Jones for Rawls.
No Ragrets.
This is what I'm banking on. Rawls should be healthy, so if he turns in a great game and takes hold of the starting job, great for me.You might regret that one lol. I think he's in for a high end wr2 season if he stays healthy. Golladay isn't catching a td every week.
Good thinking. I'd be shocked if jones goes off this week. Giants secondary is good. He might have janoris Jenkins on him all game. This is what I'm banking on. Rawls should be healthy, so if he turns in a great game and takes hold of the starting job, great for me.
If he doesn't, and Rawls really struggles even with great opportunity, my hope is MJJ has a tough game shadowed by the tough Giants secondary, and I can drop Rawls back for Marvin Jones next week, with no one in my league giving him a second look. Win, win, win.
I'm also a believer in Marvin Jones, but I like the Rawls lottery ticket more than the Marvin Jones one. Should be a pretty quick turnaround to see if it pays out.
Thunder Dan was my friend and classmate in PE at CMU. I recruited him to play on our intramural volleyball team. I used to walk to his place and walk over to Finch Fieldhouse with him. We won the intramural league and had one of the largest crowds watching us. Dan was from Traverse City and I was from Petoskey. We were scheduled to play in a 2-person beach volleyball in the summer until he got a look at being a member of the US Olympic Basketball Team. Then he made all the cuts. So much for volleyball. The rest is history. We both graduated in 1987. Well I graduated in December of 87 and not exactly sure of Dan's date, but it was right around there somewhere. We used to joke about if he went pro I want box seats. Then I ran into him at a Celebrity Golf Tournament that I was working and asked him about my box seats. He said, "You never called." LolMe too.....long time before Rawls though. Dan Majerle days.
I'm starting him today. I have a hodgepodge of part time rbs though so it's not like I'm starting him with a ton of confidence. I have a good feeling though. What are you guys, who are starting him, expecting out of T. Rawls this week? Do you think he gets the majority of the 1st and 2nd down work?
Im leaning towards doing the same. I once again went zero RB and after the first week it did not work out as I anticipated. Rawls it may be for me as well.I'm starting him today. I have a hodgepodge of part time rbs though so it's not like I'm starting him with a ton of confidence. I have a good feeling though.
I'm debating starting him over C. Hyde. I don't know what the 49ers will do with him once they fall behind. What are you guys, who are starting him, expecting out of T. Rawls this week? Do you think he gets the majority of the 1st and 2nd down work?
Same. After David Johnson went down, I don't have much choice. It's him or Kamara, so I guess Rawls until I know for sure Kamara will get consistent touches.I'm starting him today. I have a hodgepodge of part time rbs though so it's not like I'm starting him with a ton of confidence. I have a good feeling though.
I'm a dog also.I'm thinking of him over Gurley who I've come to believe flat out sucks. Not sure I can pull the trigger though. I'm a heavy underdog this week.
Starting Corey Davis over Rawls and Diggs, with the Bradford news, but not feeling great about benching Rawls.I'm a dog also.
Starting Rawls over Crowell. Screw it
Big game on tap for him todaySaboo said:The coaches love Rawls. If he is healthy he will be the rb to own...End of story.
LOVE Rawls today..he hasn't worked in a while , and today they're going to give him everything he can handle, and then some.they're not going to go easy on him and handle him with kid gloves, that's nonsense..if EVER there was a game that the coaching staff was going to use to allow a player to get his mojo back, it would be this game, a 14 pt favorite, at home against the 26th ranked defense ( they were dead last in 2016 and haven't improved THAT much)
if you own Rawls, your're all-in on this game..it's a welcome home party, and he's the guest of honor..
