Those high 1st round picks in Dyansty are losing a lot of steam (1 Viewer)

If you have a point to make, start a new post already. These 3 year old pull-ups are so.....2008. What's the point?
The point is looking back at the past to try and help predict the future is a great way to look at things. What seems like a slam dunk is not always a slam dunk. You don't ever look back at the past and see what people thought and how things shook out ? I am always finding myself doing this. It really makes you think about the future.
Seems like you've done a ton of this over the past couple of weeks. Not sure if you were doing it before and I never noticed or not. But you have had a negative tone in many of them.

If you want to ask a question like "hey man, do you have any insight as to where your analysis was flawed?" or something like that, I could understand it. But to bump one of these posts and say "I hope you're not a dynasty player" or "boy, you are so screwed" is naive and extremely misguided.

We all make mistakes by looking at guys the wrong way, making poor trades, or making a bad pick. What's your point and why bash people on the board by pulling up old threads?
I think this is why people think your recent post bumping is obnoxious. Rather than make a smart-### remark when you probably had many of the same reactions...why don't you actually say something constructive to try and start some new conversation on it?I'll use this thread as a way of saying that once again, only the top rookie picks really have consistent value. A draft like this one is interesting because so many RBs were great for the NFL draft, which made mid firsts worth a lot more in fantasy drafts than usual. Just says to me once again that the top picks (JStew) will often hold a lot of value still, and the late first round on is generally picks you ought to be trading for more established potential players, especially when it comes to WRs...both WAS guys, Hardy, even Avery...ugly receiver draft up top.

I mean, if the guy that made that post in 2008 was in a dynasty and he applied those thoughts to a draft and he used a 4th/5th pick on mendy, even if he left rice or johnson on the board, he still has to be happy that his mid first round pick is mendy. A pretty solid player. I wouldnt say that he is a poor owner because he missed on 2 or 3 out of 4...thats seems to be ok for rookies

In every single draft I was in, DMac, JStew, Mendy were 1-2-3 in some combination.

thats fine (i wasnt really into dynasty leagues until.last year). I still think if.you.get 1 solid player out of 3 thats not bad.So far, besides johnson and rice he hasn't been that far off. Jstew is still stuck behind dwill (as of now) and Dmac hasnt been a stud yet

Top 8 RB last year, and #2 ppg. I'd call that studly.

I guess I'm just trying to put his predictions in context. He was right, at least to an extent on about half the guys he listed. felix jones is a role player, forte is solid. Didnt mean to.make an arguement about dmac, I just dont like him that much

Wow those 2008 predictions turned out pretty bad. Rice, Johnson, Mendenhall, and DMAC are all studs, Forte is very close to that and Stewart is suppose to breakout this year

hindsight is 20/20

would love to see some of Dezs predictions before rookie draft sthat year.

IIRC CJ2k wasnt considered a sure fire cant miss, alot of peopl took Stewart and DMac over him.

Ray Rice could be had for peanuts after his disappointing rookie season, then he exploded since.

Yea this is correct, I cant recall seeing any drafts that didn't go like this. I remember I picked up both Rice and CJ at the bottom of the first that year in one league
