Thoughts On Maurice Morris This Week? (1 Viewer)

The Rams have the #20 Run D, giving up 120.6 ypg and 6 TDs (#29 in NFL). They have given up 103yds to Tatum Bell and 58 yds to Mike Bell, 127yds to Frank Gore, 94 yards to Edge, 93 yards to Kevin Jones and 106 to Noah Herron.

SA is out, and this may very well be MoMo's last chance to start this season (although I'm not sold on SA coming back week 7 just yet). Seattle, however, has not been impressive running the ball thus far this season. Hopefully the BYE week helped.

I'm starting MoMo over Foster this week with confidence.

I'm starting him in the flex. He will be involved in the passing game a lot this week as the Seahawks will be looking a lot like the Eagles with four wr sets and Stevens return helps the over the middle traffic. They should be able to get open space this Sunday and Morris will be a nice PPR start. I'd say he goes for 17-70 rush, 6 catches for 35 yards and a .08 TD.

I'm starting him in place of Alexander and because Droughns is on a Bye. I'd probably start him this week even if I was able to start Droughns. I think he'll do fine against the Rams Defense. He had a tough time in week 4 against the Bears but then most stud RBs would have difficulty running against that defense. This week is a much nicer play for Maurice.

Seattle is horrible after the bye, and their offensive line is just awful. It's like Walter Jones aged 10 years over the offseason. 60 yards and a TD would be a great week for Morris.

Starting here aswell, took a shot vs. the Bears two weeks ago in desperate bye week fill in, and this week he will start over Jordan @Den.

:fingerscrossed:

Probably gonna go with MoMo this week over Marion Barber (although I originally planned to have MBIII just because he plays my hapless Texans this week and could get plenty of mop-up work). The Rams don't seem that great defensively lately and the game's on the fast track in St. Louis. MoMo seems pretty risky right now with the way he's been running the ball; could easily see another 15 carry, 35 yard performance. I'm hoping the 4 WR sets open up some room for him to get some big gainers on draws, delays, and screens on the turf. Maybe the Bye Week gave the Hawks some time to get some things ironed out along the OL.

Crap, think I might have talked myself into starting him. Expect the 15/35 game. Reminds me of a couple of years ago when I pimped a D.Davis fill in to have a huge game. Too bad I pimped Hollings instead of Wells.... :bag:

Did I miss a memo? Seattle is running a base O of a 4WR set?? Why wouldnt they want to run the ball like every team has been able to thus far against the Rams?

I would not be so fast in thinking that Dallas is going to mop up Houston.

Seattle ran 4WR sets against the Giants with great success, but it was partially out of necessity because of injuries at TE. They didn't do it against the Bears. With Stevens back, I doubt that they'll be running 4 WRs out there against the Rams for more than a few plays, but that's just a guess.
