Thoughts on the Bears passing game today? (1 Viewer)

Just saw that it’s likely Tannehill sits and Osweiler starts.  If CHI jumps out and creates a good cushion - which serms likely, do they stop throwing the ball?  Seems to me that the coaching staff prefers to play it safe with a lead, which could really limit the opportunities in the passing game.

Any thoughts appreciated.

IDK, but weren’t they up huge in week 4 & kept throwing?

Last game they kept throwing and won 48-10.

I really have no idea what to expect. Before last game I'd agree they're likely to sit on a lead and play it conservatively. Now? I still think they'll sit on a lead if possible, but it's hard to completely dismiss what happened against Tampa, even if they are a horrendous defense.

This game is confounding me. MIA looks like theybare set up to fall hard. Tannehill is already declared out, so I think this game quickly goes in the Bears favor with them going up 2 scores early.

Bears D likey clamps down, and that’s a recipe to just run out the clock for half a game. I think the Bears are already primed for a more run heavy game as MIA’s D is softer against the run.

So I think if you have better options than Bears WRs, may be safer to go that way.

Not to hijack, but now I wonder about how this changes people’s thinking about the Bears RBs.

Howard was already a guy owners were likely going to start given MIA is softer there. What about Cohen though?

Will Nagy split them more to keep both fresh if the script flips to run heavy? Will he try to keep both fresh and play Cunningham more in the scenario?

Had Cohen in the flex over Baldwin, and on one hand with a more favorable run script that seems solid. But not if MIA clearly struggles early and both Howard and Cohen are sat more than usual to keep both guys fresh.

I think it ups Drake and Gore. Maybe Howard and Burton get a bump but I don't think the WR's do well.

Bears are going to pitter out by the middle of the 2nd Quarter - Its about 92 degrees down here in south fla. teams MELT when they get here.ask Tom Brady why it is that he almost ALWAYS loses down here. Chi coming from mid-50's weather to 90+ and humid..

Lets remember that they've only beaten a weak Sea team, Bucs, barely beat a lousy Az team and still found a way to lose to the hapless Packers.

MIami can play defense thats for sure. I would NOT count on the 6-TD Mitch showing up
