I dont play any IDP leagues so i cant really talk to that part but at first glance your team looks to have some solid pieces but definitely some holes as well.  I like your starting QB and you have solid young depth as well. You might run into a problem during Mariota's bye week or if he gets hit with an injury.  Neither Mahomes or Garoppolo are starters and this would be a huge problem for you. RB is your biggest weakness.  You dont have a single starter and being forced to start 2 of that motley crew will prove difficult...if Perine takes hold of the Washington jobe and Woodhead or Lewis return to form you could be ok but again if you get one injury your team is likely going to tank. Evans and Jeffery are a solid starting WR corps but again depth is an issue. TE you should be good to go for years and if Gronk stays healthy and Engram plays to his potential you might be able to fill some of your RB hole with a trade including one of them.

RB is definitely going to be an issue for you as well as QB depth.  In a 16 team league QB depth becomes a problem quick and if Mariota goes down you are screwed.

Without knowing the scoring system for  your IDP players it is tough to comment there however most leagues that play that few IDP's essentially make them useless.  I hope the scoring is a big play league because you don't have any tackle guys to keep your floor up.  David is on the downhill and loses a lot to Alexander so he isn't the stud he once was.

You strength is definitely WR and you should be fine there.  Focus on RB and QB depth in any deal you look into.

I'll echo the others- QB and especially RB are potentially big problems for you short and long term.

IMO- taking Gronk hurt you. I think the difference between him and a lower rated TE is less than the difference between a 2nd round RB and the guys you have, especially considering the depth of quality at the position in the draft this year. I also don't know- and it's obviously a guess- but given his injury that Gronk will be a good long-term guy, given the hole at RB his selection left you. Hopefully those young guys hit and turn into starters and I'm wrong here.

with only 2 starting IDPs, I would have held off until later in the draft and gone for another RB or QB (obviously, depending on availability). that said, Mack is a beast... but I think you'll find that with such a small bench that you'll have a lot of quality IDPs on the WW every week.

again- hopefully the RBs pan out... but you might need trade away some strength at WR to shore yourself up.

I disagree with this approach to dynasty startups.  I don't think teams should be worrying about filling out rosters or filling team holes in a dynasty like you would in a redraft.

I think you want to focus on taking the best players.  Holes can be filled later.  If you pick players that don't bust you will have that flexibility.  These are players you'll have for 5 years so any bust is 5x as costly as it is in a redraft.  At 2.14 any RB available is going to be risky (in my recent startup the best RBs available at pick 30 were Mixon, Ajayi, Henry). The biggest mistake I see people making in startup drafts is saying "I think I need a RB more than a TE here" so they reach for a RB that flops and end up with neither a RB nor a TE.

RBs are crazy volatile, and the ones picked around the 30 spot in startups have a horrible history (last year it was CJA, Peterson, Lynch, Forte, 2014 was Montee Ball, Murray, Zac Stacy, Ellington, and Spiller).  I think he made the right move taking Gronk who only has the injury issues to worry about and will likely almost instantly gain substantial value once he Gronks for a few games and everyone forgets the back.

I don't mind the approach, it looks like you tried to go young, until later. Why Gronk though? He doesn't fit this team at all. I would move him. I love your qbs for the future, if Mariotta goes down then trade anyone that is old and tank the rest of the year. Add Barkely next year and off you go.

Can't speak for IDP's but on a pick by pick basis I'd say:

Evans=great pick

Gronk=great pick

Jeffery=slight reach, new team, hasn't been able to stay healthy, unproven QB. Some upside, but lots of downside that high.

Mariota=gigantic reach, probably 2 rounds too early. Just too many QBs in his range to go this high.

Perine=gigantic reach, i understand the fear about RBs going, but this was 2-3 rounds too high.

J. Williams=biggest reach, might have been 5-6 rounds too early. Very possible he's Green Bay's #3 RB short and long term.

White=great pick, has a ton of upside this late.

Engram=great pick, nice value here.

T. Williams=great pick, very surprised he fell this far.

Woodhead=slight reach, likely your #1 RB in 2017, but is likely a 2017 only pick.

Mahomes=great pick, some nice upside long term this late.

Reynolds=great flier, wouldn't be a shock if he was the Rams WR1 by year's end. Likely already their best vertical threat.

Lewis=nice pick, he may or may not be useful this year, but he's a FA after the season, and has put a lot of good on tape.

Garoppolo=solid flier, likely will be starting somewhere next season.

Mathews=meh, ok flier, probably will never be useful, but 18 rounds in, its worth a look I guess.

Hodges=same as Mathews.

All in all, I'd be probably give you a C- or so. Rounds 4-6 were killers, especially 6. If your IDPs carry you, maybe this can be a B or so, but man, RB is awful, and you aren't really in great shape anywhere but TE.

overall i like it, but you are pretty thin in a lot of spots, cant comment too much on your IDPs cuz idk the scoring but if you dont get enhanced scoring for DL then David is the only good one IMO

I like mariota as your qb, dont like having 2 real life backups as your fantasy backups, one injury and you are in tough shape

Rbs look to be thin, lewis and mathews are all but irrelevant perine and williams are unproven, woody is prolly fine

wr starters look solid, im counting williams as a starter until white does something that matters, i like reynolds as a prospect but idk about his situation

te looks great, love engram and gronk, i agree with a post above about you taking gronk where you did, but if he stays healthy no reason he cant be relevant for 6 more years
