Tier 2 WR upside (1 Viewer)

PR Sparty

Footballguy
Now might be the time to target the tier two guys who might be buried behind a stud WR(s) on a team who has good WR depth or a team in need of RB help and willing to deal a WR. I think trying to pry away AJ and the big boys still might be tuff as the owners probably have a tight grip on them this early.

So what do ya think about the upside of the following tier 2's? How would you rank 'em? Please add more if i'm missing your guy

B. Marsh

Ocho

Welker

S. Smith (NYG)

Jennings

D. Jack

I think its D Jackson

and then the rest....

I've been a non-believer for too long now. The guy is just money

Depends on what you're after. If you're talking PPR, Welker. If not, it's DJack all the way.

Actually, the longer Vick plays, the higher DJack could rise. Kid has some serious jets and the ONE think Vick's always been good at other than running is throwing the long ball.

Marshall and DJax aren't tier 2 players IMO. Those guys are full on #1s.
agree for the most part, but it's possible. i.e. 14 team, non ppr redraft league w/ fitz (out of respect  ) @ 1, marshall (end 2nd round) @ 2, and my nomination for this thread (who to target) @ my #3.J Maclin - he's a mid to high 2 right now w/ upside. especially w/ DJax getting most of the DB's attention.I doubt many owners will part w/ DJax @ this point. the sports center highlights are just too exciting.Vick is slinging it, and Maclin is 1b in PHI - yet he is still rarely mentioned. and his relative cost will be significantly less.4 tds through 3 games. go get him.

WR1 consists og the top 12 WR's. Marshall is in every top 12 I know of before the season. Welker, Djax and Jennings were all fridge players right there.

IMO it stops at 8 (AJ, MOSS, CALVIN, FITZ, WAYNE, AUSTIN, R.WHITE, MARSHALL) and Tier 2 starts with the Welker, DJacks, Jennings, Ocho, S.Smith, Colston, Boldin, ..etcBack to the question Id also rank Welker ahead of the rest of the second tier -in a PPR he usually ends up in top 3-5 in scoring. Next Id say DJacks, then S.Smith CAR. Id almost want to move Colston into a 3rd tier with Nicks, S.Smith NYG, Ward, S.Moss.. but I think hes borderline 2nd tier just very avg some games. Pretty sure Dez creeps into 3rd tier by seasons end and possibly M.Williams TB. Hoping Holmes finishes strong tier3+ -we'll see.

Marshall is a top tier WR already. Jackson isn't a red zone target at all so that really hurts, but he is the best deep threat in football and there are very few guys who are as dangerous getting the ball in space between the 20s. Welker is a number 1 in PPR only. The only other one that has T1 upside is Boldin.
