But when or what can this mean in such a powerful Offence.

I believe we all have seen "bump Finley" quite a bit. IDP guys know Havner (not sure of spelling) and GB also has the "other" Crabtree. Why would Thompson (known for drafting skill) be taking DJ?

In Fantasy, I would believe this a pick to parlay a trade. I know it may have been a steal in the draft at the ADP, but it just seems that there has to be something Im missing. I somewhat recently discovered a magic number of eight, that emcompasses the total number of TE, HB, FB on an active Roster. This to me, means another team in Fantasy, may be lead to think your desperate to unload a player. (3rd Rnd pick wasted?)

So can anyone enlighten me on DJ Williams. Would you say hes undervalued, or destined to lineup in 2 TE sets. I do recall GB wanting to try 5WR on the field, does a player like DJ make this more plausible, or just the opposite.

Any thoughts on GB TE's not already discussed?

Green Bay is deep deep deep at TE and WR. You mentioned Williams and Havner. Both can catch. They also have last season's defacto starter Andrew Quarless.

But Finley was the center of the offense when he played last season. He's the only truly special player out of all those backs and receivers. He's a unique guy.

I believe the tight end situation ties into the 5 wide sets as you say. However Finley is probably the second best receiver on this squad behind only Greg Jennings. And when teams bring the heat against the spread offense, Rodgers will look to Finley as the hot read quite often.

I think they keep 4 TEs - Finley, Quarless, Crabtree, and Williams. I don't think anyone except Finley will get more than spot duty unless he's hurt.

Even Green Bay will want a blocking TE or 2 on their roster.

They can't all be big wide receivers.

I've heard some speculation is the DJ Williams was drafted as insurance for the possibility of Finley walking what his contract is up.
