TIKI,......What's this we crap! (1 Viewer)

Why the heck is Tiki saying "we" every other word in his TV announcing debut?? He left "we" and I am sure the Giants don't appreciate him being the "team spokesperson!" Especially after calling Coughlin out in his book! He's got a new job and needs to focus on being impartial and looking forward in his new career path! Very annoying!

This just in: He's awful.Left the door creaked open just a tad bit on a possible return. Tiny bit, and I'd give it a 5% chance of even going beyond that conversation with Michaels/Madden, but he didn't flat out say, "No, absolutely not."

Yeah, i watched that and thought it was a bit weird. I deffinatly don't think he needs to get a new job, it's just, you won't see Marshall Faulk saying, "Steven Jackson had a bad game, we'll try to bounce back next week.". I'm sure he'll work out for NBC, they sure do seem to be getting a lot of retired football players on their staff here lately.

First day on the job. His old team and teammates took a hard loss. Some of his teammates suffered injuries. He was put in the spotlight because of the injury to Jacobs and the fact that his fellow commentators kept pressing the issue.

So he said, "we". It's not sickening. Sickening is the feeling in your gut watching the Bills TE twitching on the ground after the helmet to helmet hit.

He might have been nervous, he might have been reaching out to his guys after a tough and costly loss.

It's Week 1.

call me crazy, but going from how adamant he was on his retirement, to now saying there's a possibility that he'd consider playing again if called...pretty telling to me. and throw on there the fact that he's now blaming his retirement on coughlin.i'm guessing we are going to be hearing alot about this possibility in the near future. if you've got an open roster spot, why the hell not?

I have no problem with Tiki using the word "we" when talking about the Giants. He played his career there, and he is a retired Giant. Why wouldn't he use the word "we"? Terry Bradshaw has used the word "we" before when talking about the Steelers, as has Marino when talking about the Dolphins, etc. Why isn't it ok for Tiki to do it? As for Tiki calling out Coughlin in the past, so has some other Giants players since Coughlin took over. Shockey has done it a few times. Coughlin has never been a very liked coach by his players, even when he was in Jacksonville.

Specially when he sees his old team play as poorly as they did yesterday ( Defensively ) and thinking they will end the season with like a 5 -11 record it must really make him sick . Not to forget that he must be sad to think Coughlin will lose his job by week 6 .

You don't refer to your alma mater as we even though you don't go there anymore? I don't see anything wrong with him saying we.
