Raider Nation
Devil's Advocate
I really hope someone else heard this. I cannot provide a link as it was a radio commentary. Hasselbeck and Ross Tucker were hosting "Moving the Chains" on Sirius NFL radio today. At about 1:40pm eastern, they got into a discussion about how Rodgers would fare if Favre doesn't come back to the Packers.
I took notes. This was the exchange, pretty much word-for-word.
Tucker: "So how do you see Rodgers' numbers if he is the starter?"
Hasselbeck: [after five seconds of deep thought] "I'd say about 2,500 yards... and that assumes he plays a full 16 games. That number will obviously be lower if he plays only 13 games."
Tucker: "What about touchdowns and interceptions?"
Hasselbeck: He'll probably have between 8 and 12 touchdowns, and his interceptions will be in the same ballpark."
Yeah, the guy will average only 156 yards and 0.5 TDs per game with that group of receivers.
I really wish he'd put his money where his mouth is. I'd bet everything I own on the OVER against those projections.
