Tim T To JAX or JETS (1 Viewer)

The easiest path to getting on the field is new York. And he can't win the job if he isn't on the field.

Sanchez is mediocre.

Gabbert is probably mediocre but we aren't sure yet.

Plus, tebow is no fool - new York is a bigger stage for whatever he pushes (humility, religion, endorsements) then jax ever will be.

Yes, makes some sense now. He seeks not the righteous, but the wicked. Sodom is his new pulpit.
:goodposting: plus the only person (besides the fans) in JaX that wanted tebow was the owner. he was leaving a similar situation where the coaching staff/gm/etc didn't want him. i think in NY it was more than just the owner's decision to land him - they need a leader desperately and everyone in the jets organization knows it.

This shows how little faith the teams have in Gabbert/Sanchez.
It does, but in the Jets case with Tony Sporano as the new OC Tebow is attractive as a Wild Cat QB.
Tebow doesn't want to be Brad Smtih 2.0, he wants to be a starting QB and last year did nothing to make him think he can't. This would be a HUGE mistake for the Jets. HUGE. A regime and Sanchez career ruining mistake. I can't stress enough how much I do not want this to happen. :bag:
Now see? As an outsider I thought Sanchez was the regime ruining mistake.
I watch every game so I know how bad Sanchez can look at times, but he is still relatively young (only started one year in college) and has obviously shown some flashes. While he wasn't solely responsible for bringing the Jets to two AFC Championship games, he certainly stepped up on the biggest stage and played very well in every playoff game he's started.I'm not 100% sold on him yet, but why I'm willing to hold out some hope is I was around NYC for the ealry stages of Eli Manning's carreer. At this same point - the local fans were looking to ride Eli out of town (and beleive me he looked far worse than Sanchez at times) and look what a little patience from the Giants front office produced.
All QB's have bad games, but at least Eli has a decent arm. Sanchez doesn't. He can't make all the throws. Yes he's shown flashes, but he's 3 years in now on a pretty decent team and I think the bulb is as bright as it's going to get. He reminds me of Joey Harrington with even less arm strength. The Jets are making a huge mistake by continuing to commit years to this guy.

Perfect situation for Tebow's talents. My guess is he'll be their starter by the end of the 2012 season & do well.

A little more refinement to go along with his other attributes will make him an outstanding NFL QB (& more importantly, in regards to our hobby, an elite FF QB). Tebow has a good chance to thrive with the Jets.

So what's the over/under in terms of games for when Tebow wins the Jets QB job outright? Suckchez will only be able to hold off the TT train for so long. I'm thinking 6 games is about right.

The burning question now:

Which team trades a 7th round pick for Blaine Gabbert?
Saskatchewan Roughriders?

More like the Minnesota Valkyries...But anyhow... I am not a big fan of the decision. The Jets will have Tebow waste away... never develop as a passer to be a threat at QB and be stuck as a gimick only player... ack. would have loved if he learned the passing game from Peyton in Denver. That would have really taken Tebow to another level in the passing department and given him a shot to really be a dominate player. Now, Tim won't get his shot... albeit Sanchez isn't the next best thing in QB either... so you never know.

i dont see sanchez losing he starting role this season. i could see tebow get more playing time, but i would be shocked if he wins that role outright anytime this season.
