Tim Tebow - 8.17.21 Waived By Jacksonville (2 Viewers)

On that bomb to Decker, Decker ran the wrong route and slowed up. Tebow threw a beautiful ball right on the money. Terrible route running all day.
If he would have dragged his foot, he would of had a TD early in the game. Denver WR's are not that good.

Shouldn't Tebow be in church on Sunday? He never had that problem in college. College football is played on Thursday and Saturday. How can any true believer work on the Sabbath?

Just wait till Denver gets a Monday night game. He'll be fine.

Fox just said: "Tebow is a work in progress -- today was his 5th start" and "he needs to get better, as does everyone in that locker room."

Tebow ain't goin' anywhere, so enjoy the show... good OR bad.

Old Testament rules. As a devote atheist Jew, you should know better.

YY didn;t help himself any - but there was a lot going wrong on that team today - like the o=line

Do any Saints fans still have their paper bags from when they used to be called the Aint's? This Bronco fan would like to borrow it for a little while!

The Broncos' brain trust doesn't seem so sure. Asked if Tebow would start next week, coach John Fox said it was "too early to say," a bit of a surprise considering Tebow's audition as a starter is only two games old. Surely, any young quarterback is entitled to a bad game or two.

The concern at Dove Valley is not that this was Tebow having an off day. The concern is this was the essential Tebow, a quarterback who for stretches of the game seemed able to complete only two pass routes. His average yardage per pass attempt (4.4) was lower than that of any starting quarterback in the NFL.

I for one am cheering on Tebow to start (just one more game).
I need this clown to survive Oakland. I got SD and NYJ defenses. It's going to be a sad day when he gets tossed in the dumpster. He is entertaining to watch.
As a Raider fan, I am enjoying the show. The Broncos are my most hated team. But I temper my bronco hate with admiration of Tebow the man. He's decent. That's a rare character trait in the NFL. Like him, hate his team. Wish he'd start the rest of the year.

Sadly there will be a day when tebow is no longer out there starting (and starring) for an NFL team for the enjoyment of NFL fans everywhere. I recommend that everyone watch the weekly train wreck while it is still playing. He needs to come up big soon if he wants to take this circus on the road. Maybe he can pull a miracle against KC in 2 weeks. Other than that pipedream, his ### is going to be shredded.

Let's face it, that display yesterday was an embarressment for the entire Bronco organization. It was the only game I've ever watched that actually made me uncomfortable for a player. It was the equvilent of watching a dude get ##### slapped, and him just taking it. Completely humiliating.

How many games has Cam Newton won? How many games did 100 millionaire Jamarcus Russell get to prove whether or not he could play? How badly did Drew Brees play yesterday? How much are some of you over reacting to one bad game by a player who needs to develop? Yeah.

Enlightening

“Can you believe ’15’?” one Detroit Lions defender asked after his team’s 45-10 immolation of Tebow and the Denver Broncos. “Come on – that’s embarrassing. I mean, it’s a joke. We knew all week that if we brought any kind of defensive pressure, he couldn’t do anything. In the second half it got boring out there. We were like, ‘Come on – that’s your quarterback? Seriously?’ ”

Very little. It wasn't one bad game, it was two, and they would have lost last week to the worst team in football if Prater doesn't hit the sweetest onside kick ever.

Problem is, the things he needs to develop don't really ever develop. That 4th grade windup? That ain't getting fixed. The accuracy? Not ever going to reach the level of even average.

That was a big FU to the fans of Denver. A big "I told you he sucked", now leave us alone. Nobody held a gun to their head and made them draft him though so I don't exactly get the problem.

Does anyone know where you can find stats for when he's in shotgun vs. under center? Seriously, not rhetorical, I'm looking for the stats. I'm curious.

That was a previous regime - Broncos would never be able to move on until the collective fan base understood that Tebow was not the answer.Elway and Fox tried the polite way - simply telling folks after a few days of practice that the QB competition was over and that Orton was much better than Tebow. Orton still is much better than Tebow.

Tebow is not the problem. John Fox needs to go and soon. The play calling is suspect. If The Tebow is blamed for the Broncos team, Elway and Fox are masking the real problem which is the players around the QB. How can a team trade their #1 WR and then expect results from a new QB? Every QB needs a supporting cast and The Tebow's supporting cast is below average.

:lmao: best ever.

:lmao: Did you watch the game? An 8 foot tall contortionist with a 10 foot wing span couldn't catch the majority of those passes.

I sense a new direct to video sequel hit- Angels on the Gridiron. Tebow throws the passes to angels and they direct them into the receivers' hands.

I believe he could still be a decent option in the goal line package, but I don't think he belongs as a starter. Tavaris Jackson- injured and coming off the bench- schooled Tebow stat-wise yesterday. TAVARIS JACKSON.

I still have no idea how anyone thought they could coach away the windup. If anything it is worse now.

I'm not supporting Tebow in any way after the way he played yesterday but you can't name the bad players who did better than him in fantasy without naming the great players who did worse.

The whole team was putrid yesterday including Tebow. I don't know if Tebow will ever develop into a starting NFL qb, but some of you really are out to get him for no good reason.

FavreCo is coming across as someone mad at life with his constant attack on Tebow. We get it, you don't think Tebow is good. But you may want to tone down your hate as if he did something personally to you. The best part is you blaming your hate of Tebow on Tebow wrecking future fantasy players you may select. Come on now.

Tebow was really bad yesterday; he struggled with reads, he looked uncomfortable in the pocket and he has a long way to go to be considered a player that can win and be used in the NFL. It is still way too early to say he is going to compeletely fail, just as it is way to early to say Gabbert is bad and just as it was way to early to claim Vick could never be a pocket passer.

One thing is clear is that Tebow has a long ways to go. Denver also has a long ways to go. They trotted out to start the game an offensive line that struggled mightily against an awesome defensive line. A Wring core of Decker (an up and comer in his second year), Royal (below average WR 2 who can't stay healthy), Demetrius Thomas (playing in what his second game as a pro?) and a below average TE in Fells and another young guy Thomas who is learning on the go. Moreno, is still very much trying to prove himself as an NFL player as well, and yep you guessed it he was starting too.

Elway has a long way to go with this make shift team. It is a team with holes all over the place, including at the moment the QB spot as Tebow is not ready. Will they allow him to keep learning on the job for the season and really see if it can get worse and or will they cancel the experiment and move on? Only time will tell.

I also really don't think Fox is the guy to turn this franchise around either. Right now this team is a mess. Tebow as of today is the fall guy for a team in flux.

I was stunned the Broncos didn't use Moreno more in the short-passing game. I'm not a big Moreno fan but he is a good receiver out of the backfield. Tebow is a sack waiting to happen and the Lions can bring a good pass rush. One of the ways to try and slow down a pass rush is the screen pass. Granted, Tebow's ability to complete a screen pass is a legitimate question but I can't believe the Broncos didn't even try to do that more. Tebow is making so many bad decisions as a QB that the offensive game plan needs to help him. I didn't think that was the case yesterday.

Let the excuses begin!Does anyone really believe that Lloyd's absence is the difference between Tebow completing 46.2% of his passes and Orton completing 58.7%?

I don't hate him. I laugh at him and the people who think he is an NFL QB. He's not. He's not even close. Actually I'm enjoying it quite a bit. He's entertainment. I haven't laughed that hard watching an NFl game..ever. If he can hold on a little longer, he will go up against my SD and NYJ defenses. I'm rooting for the guy. Then we will plant him in the ground like DET did this past week.

tebowites. next up --> running game, remaining WRs, OL, defense, coaching staff, GM, owner.

I posted it yesterday in one of the 24 Tebow threads. He was in the shotgun for 51 out of 77 snaps. It's listed under "full play-by-play" in the box score.
