With all the bad news out there of the Ray Rice issue and people fighting over whats right and wrong and all the drama it entails. Lets take a moment and read about a great thing that the NFL players and coaches do.

Sean Payton moved to buy 100 Still jerseys

METAIRIE, La. -- The feel-good story of the day from New Orleans Saints camp comes courtesy of an awesome gesture by coach Sean Payton.

Payton purchased 100 jerseys of Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still on Wednesday after the team announced that proceeds of his jersey sales would go toward pediatric cancer research. Still’s 4-year-old daughter is battling Stage 4 pediatric cancer.

Payton was moved by the story after he heard about it on the radio during his drive home on Tuesday night, according to a source, and he decided to purchase the jerseys out of his own pocket.

Big thanks for to the saints for ordering jerseys to help support pediatric cancer..only one word to describe everything, AMAZING!!
According to Bengals director of sales and public affairs Jeff Berding, Still's jersey sold more in the first 24 hours of the donation drive than any other Bengals player's jersey ever has in a single day.

Earlier this year, the Saints also reached out to support another member of their NFL fraternity. The entire team signed a giant get-well card for former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly, who also was battling cancer (and since has been declared cancer-free).

That's awesome!

Not that I want any recognition but a few days ago I ordered 325 of them for employees and a few friends. Bless his child, words can't express the sadness of this situation.

Let's also give huge props to the Bengals for keeping the guy on the active roster so he gets the fatter paycheck (something like $25k per week as opposed to $6,000 per week on the practice squad). I believe the story is they were about to cut him but when they found out about his daughter they first moved him to the practice squad then reactivated him so he could get more money and keep his insurance coverage. Awesome deed!

 Could not agree more, This is class personified. Will be pulling for the Bengals and Saints when they are not playing my team just for doing the right thing that they didnt have to.

On another note, came back after lunch and saw the Ray Rice and Gordon threads keeps getting love. Example of how people crave to argue. Disappointing.

Regardless, glad his daughter is getting the care she needs. I know the franchise has a player that will do anything and everything asked while giving his all and that is a good kind of player to have.

Prior to all of this, during one of the preseason games, I heard Chris Collinsworth make a comment about the class of Mike Brown and the Bengals management. Cynical me thought, "Yeah, right!"

My apologies, sir.

(Rotoworld)Rams hired 2015 sixth-round WR Bud Sasser as their External Football Affairs Coordinator.

Analysis: Sasser was the 201st pick in May's draft out of Mizzou. Once he reported to the team, it was revealed he had a heart condition that wouldn't allow him to play football. The Rams did good by him and hired him, giving him his own office and desk. Sasser will work with Rams alumni and in community affairs.
