Hell, I don't even have 38 threads.I just looked. He has 38 pages of thread topics started. I have 8. And I'll be the first to admit I'm a shameless attention whore. I'm not saying his threads are awful (though I do think many of this threads are duplicates and not needed) but I am saying it's too much. Just consolidate them. All I'm asking. He should give it a shot.Just out of curiousity, is there any poster on this site that comes close to 38 pages of thread topics started?
You say that like its a bad thing...Don't listen Tim, I haven't read a word from GM since he got his own exclusive thread. I didn't even know he still posted here.

One of the best things about that thread is certain folk stay out.Can you give me an example? I'm willing to accept constructive criticism, but when I start a new thread it's usually to discuss some specific aspect of an issue that I think deserves more direct attention than it is getting- rather than hijack existing threads, I think it's better to have spinoffs. That said, he starts WAAAAY too many threads to "start" a discussion that was already taking place in a current thread. Seriously dude, stop that. Please.

I'll post it here next time it happens. It happens to all of us from time to time but there's also a fine line between a hi-jack and the original conversation simply evolving and taking weird turns. Often by the time a thread gets to page 7+ it has little to do with the OP. It doesn't mean you're hijacking the thread by talking about new things - it simply means people moved past the original subject and are now on something else. But imo you're still a net positive to this board. l h u c k s, on the other hand...Can you give me an example? I'll think about that. Gonna have to start a new thread about SOMETHING, it's getting on lunchtime already...Can you start a new thread to discuss the validity of spin-offs?... you're hijacking this thread.

I don't agree. The issue of Hitler analogies has been in the news lately; it is very topical and I thought it was worthy of some discussion. It was not a spinoff. But whatever. I already know what YOUR opinion is of me, (see my sig) so I'm not going to be able to convince you of anything.Hitler analogy thread.Totally unnecessary. Can you give me an example? He needs ALL OF THE ATTENTIONS.Bump....Tim, really. It's long past time for you to do this. Unless you enjoy irritating others, I don't know why you haven't done this yet.

I'd like to revisit this. Tim....you gotta stop the thread starting. It's painful. Make one giant master thread and keep all your stuff in there. Please? You are like the online version of the drivers who drive slow in the left hand lane just to annoy other drivers. Nobody is saying stop posting. But for the love of Christ....tone it down and put it all in one giant master TIM THREAD.

Because it's visual pollution. Tre had a great idea. Start a thread called "Tim's Thread about Tim". Then, anytime you want to post about Spiderman vs. Ponce De Leon, you can do it there. Why is this so important to you? Am I your charity case?I'd like to revisit this. Actually, I'm going to take people's advice and combine them as much as I can starting tomorrow. I thought it was more fun to have each poll in a separate thread, but whatever...But he's only got 11 "Most Admired" polls left to startI'd like to revisit this. tim-sho-shae for meIncorrect here as well, but I always read it as "tim-so-shea"On a slightly unrelated note... How do you pronounce Tim's name? I always pronounce it "Tims-o-shea" but I know it isn't right looking at the spelling.

Just for the record- unless it's some special situation like running multiple related polls, I have never started more than 2 threads in a day. And even that's very rare for me.azcards might need an intervention like this soon as well
instead of limiting images, the fine folks at invision should probably give us an option to let people start no more than 2 threads per day.

In fact, if you go back and look through the last 6-12 months, you'll find that the number of threads I've started overall has declined sharply. I know I have somewhat of a reputation over this from a few years back, but I really have taken the criticism to heart.
Tim, I like you - well, iYou anyway since I don't know you in meatspace - but even I was thinking you need to go the GM single thread route at this point. You can change the poll every day to keep things fresh.Just for the record- unless it's some special situation like running multiple related polls, I have never started more than 2 threads in a day. Yeah, but that's the most admired poll. No.....really, it is six threads already, and about 5,487,512 potential combinations to go.Yeah, but that's the most admired poll. In all fairness to Tim, Tim only wrote about half of his posts.Just some stats for discussion:
I think I post too much. I joined in August, '03 and since then have 19836 posts (including this one). That comes to an average of about 5.5 posts a day.
Tim joined in September, '07 and since then has written 63702 posts. That comes to an average of about 30.3 posts a day.

The disguise you've given it that makes it look like several threads is very clever. I can hardly tell it's not really several threads.Yeah, but that's the most admired poll.
