Hey look, the Clippers are losing their composure again.
They're just so mentally weak. I don't think Rivers is a good coach in general, but he's a particularly bad fit for this bunch who really need someone who could lead by example in terms of keeping their #### together when things aren't going your way.

They should get Griffin some stickum.
If only Doc Rivers had some sort of history or connection with a savvy veteran who's not afraid of the big moment in the playoffs. Maybe a player he'd coached recently. Perhaps even someone with roots in Los Angeles. Too bad there wasn't anyone out there like that, or I'm sure expert GM Doc Rivers would have found him.

Sucks about Love, it was looking like Cleveland was a shoe in for the Finals with the way the Bulls and Hawks looked. They may still make it, but sucks that they lost him for the entire playoffs. I was sort of rooting for them to bring something other than misery to Cleveland. I had to travel a bunch there for work since the Fall and got to see them play at the Q.
It's ok man. The previous 4 years of Cavs was misery. This year has been great compared to them and it isn't over even if it may be over, yet.

Take that to the Broewery and hoist some cold ones.

They're still the favorites in the East by a mile. The Bulls have never looked good- I only remember one game where I watched them and thought they looked like contenders (a win over the Cavs sometime around the ASB). The Hawks have their own injury issues and are fading, although still a threat. There's also a decent chance they don't reach the ECF. The Wizards are the Wizards-a team that's still just 50-36 on the year even if you include the postseason sweep. They can defend and their recent strategic shift on offense is encouraging but I'm not sure it will continue against a competent defense.

I couldn't agree more. LeBron plus Kyrie is still better than the rest of the East.

Rose's days as an elite player are behind him. Noah, Gibson and Taj are diminished by injuries.

Atlanta over-achieved in the regular season and is playing .500 against the #8 seed.

Washington is playing well right now, but Toronto scares no one.

I don't think it matters who comes out of the East, anyway, because I think Golden State is poised for a 16-2 or 16-3 postseason.

Do people really still get upset when Pop doesn't give interviews? I thought we were over this when it started years ago.

Is anyone gonna say, "That Popovich was a hell of a coach, but man he would have been better if he only talked nicer to the media"?
I don't get upset about it. I just like to make fun of it. It's sports.
It's funny as hell! Why bother, especially during the game, and when they are losing. lol

I'm hoping that when Popovich finally decides to retire, he goes out in a blaze of profanity laced sideline interview glory, convincing the networks to scrap the whole idiotic notion of the in game interview.

Or that he takes a part time gig as a sideline interviewer.

Is Marv related to Herb Alpert?

I'd like to say I was listening to "Rise" when I posted that. But the truth is I just ####ed up the name.

Did you know Herb Alpert was in the movie "The 10 Commandments?" GB wikipedia.

The Rockets fired their social media manager over that tweet from last night?

Wow. I thought it was hilarious, but I'm not a great example of PC.

I'll PM Captain Hook and get back to you.

So the Love deal pretty much worked out about as bad as possible for both the Cavs and Love. Well, maybe not for Love, he's still got his $16+M player option.

Still a fascinating topic. Could argue it was a bad move to give up a young phenom like Wiggins.

Then again, LeBron is 30 and wants titles now, not later.

Cleveland less likely to win title without Love, but would it have been any more likely with Wiggins?

Not quite yet - once Lebron bolts leaving them in ruins again it'll be official.

Long term, most definitely. Wiggins on a rookie contract is way more valuable than one year of Love.
