I'll keep beating the drum of Vander esch or Evans. Evans isn't as good in coverage, so that's a small concern. Less so currently in the division but Kelce or gronk, among others, will continue to feast until that's addressed. Could be by a safety I guess but I'd prefer VE.a lot coming out since the presser. JRob probably wisely stirred this up and isn't interested but...fascinating.
Rudolph is the coveted QB of the very good teams. Pittsburgh and New England really really like him. Jackson (has replaced Mayfield as this) is the guy that falls through the cracks.
It's what I've been saying- 6 QBs is a lot for one round and in round one that could mean six that are top priority adds.
Both knocked the interviews out of the park. PK was probably (in a way) showing off that he was the only one to know they met with both.
Most of my friends expect a trade and if not then a safety to be selected. The top S and Byard would then alternate positions each play and make it more difficult to diagnose.
Expect the Titans to trade up for Oren Burks. I didn't hear the interviews but apparently JRob kept mentioning his name over and over. I mentioned him earlier. They have met with him FIVE times and some say six. Everywhere he is a curious player that has glowing reviews but then a fourth or fifth round grade...umm which is it?
I have three friends that predict Morgan will be traded. 3 or 4 think Spain will.
I heard the end of an interesting discussion. I missed who they were speaking of and...much of it. But Oz,et anyone, if the backs are big in AFCSouth and a team wanted a bigger ILB to match, who would that be?
Oh I'm sure he's done his homework on both. Partly because either could be a Jaguar.JRob has told one reporter this is not smoke n mirrors, they have done extensive homework on each Lamar and Rudolph.
If it's a ruse, he really wants people to believe it
No one is.JRob has told one reporter this is not smoke n mirrors, they have done extensive homework on each Lamar and Rudolph.

maybe maybe. Interesting discussion this morning- why didn't you write an article on it? Why would I if they aren't going to draft one? The story would be later and then I have this for the buildup. What if they do draft a QB? Well then I guess this will seem late. Why skip it then? I haven't written an article on them drafting any other position....on and onNo one is.
that's a fair pointOh I'm sure he's done his homework on both. Partly because either could be a Jaguar.
I'd be okay with trading down and adding Rudolph later just not in the first.that's a fair point

Ya know I don't think the Titans should draft one that early but one could make a pretty good argument for it, especially sticking within the division where good young QBs are oddly prevalent.
The Titans have repeatedly stunk when Mariota gets hurt. Luckily it's been for only a few games each year.
The Texans looked great and Watson looked like an MVP and then Watson got hurt and oof.
Bortles got awfully bad fast. He lit us up for a few hundred each game and then the next year he just stunk. They rebuilt him and I imagine that's partially because the backup QBs in free agency are a bunch of retread Browns and Bills castoffs.
I don't wholly understand why Luck has been injured so long and how there could be doubt about him in 2018. I just don't know the shoulder well enough. My brain works like this injury requires X amount of time so at X amount of time he should return. The NFL has access to the best docs and surgeons so this generally doesn't happen and...idk

Gabbert is gonna take them to the Supe sounds a smidge more believable than Cassel will take them to the Supe

I think this should lend to a third rounder. Maybe if they love Rudolph and he didn't fly up draft rankings, he'd still be a second and they could do that. Especially with multiple seconds from a trade down. That would seem reasonable- ya got extra picks, get the QB you want rather than waiting a round.

Jackson is falling now because NFL GMs don't necessarily believe in athletic QBs and/or believe their team and offense is best suited for a pocket QB. Vick had a short career where he was good, RGB, Randall had to about be reborn many years after Philly, Pryor isn't even a QB anymore, Kordell had a brief career where he was good- the impact is great but it's short lived where as some of the pocket guys last a decade or more. My prob with this is that they're leaving out 90% of the pocket guys that get cut or become career backups and only mentioning the gems. The success rate on drafting QBs is awful. Jackson has the it factor, everyone seems to love the guy after meeting him, and clearly he's a superb athlete. I think teams are just setting themself up for regret if they're only shying away because he's athletic.
This could be to verify if they feel comfortable to trade a G (e.g. Spain)G whose name I can't spell got a lot more reps than he expected- no idea instead of who
Indeed. Would Carolina or the Pats have taken Evans though? I guess they might so the trade made senseLB Edge- Vander Esch and Evans have a real confident comfy vibe like 100% they'd draft em' if they're there. Sweat seems to have their fascination like the three above.
Don't know about the Panthers but Evans would have fit in NE pretty well I think.Indeed. Would Carolina or the Pats have taken Evans though? I guess they might so the trade made sense
Prescient!Landry was a common predraft pick so I could see them trading up for him. To land Landry and Evans would make this a super draft by JRob with the rest almost not mattering at all.
Prescient?Radio by me mentions Morgan. I literally argued with someone on the phone who said "he is not available, you're crazy" as the radio in the background mentioned it. Titans reporters love him and won't admit this so....we'll see
Goodbye Alex Tanney, it's been realEast Coast Bias said:Luke Falk. Competition for Gabbert.
Glad we’ll never see Cassel again as well.Goodbye Alex Tanney, it's been real
So, basically you don't like Cruikshank? Not sure about the others but I love the Evans, Landry and Falk picks.
Would have liked them to get lauletta and Griffin but pretty good overall I think.
he's tiny too-OZ- said:Wadley!!
Surprised he went undrafted but glad to see him sign with the Titans. He should make the team, backup Dion well.
I want to be surprised that the previous regime didn't do something so basic as angles right but I just can'tBri said:Previously, in the veterans walk through not a walk through camp, Vrabel was displeased with positioning and angles
I assume all good things with Lebeau and Spanos had all his backups ready to play anywhere so I think he did a good job as LB coach. I think this might be laziness in a walkthroughI want to be surprised that the previous regime didn't do something so basic as angles right but I just can't
GM Rick Spielman in press conference before the draft mentioned the Vikings spending more time on the projected free agent group of players in their evaluations this year. According to consensus lists of the players they signed, they did very well with their UDFA signings this year.Bri said:It is either a very clever plan- to plan on a UDFA RB or risky. Oddly enough, Lewis provides some security here as he could be the scat back if these guys don't pan out. It is also early enough that they could add another back if those three don't pan out. It seems like a calculated risk to create a diverse backfield while the downside is minimal- at worst, they become about what we all expected anyway- Henry, Lewis, Fluellen.
